Boston Bruins @ Buffalo Sabres – 7PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Boston Bruins are off to an incredible start this season, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here on Tuesday night on the road in Buffalo. Boston is coming off of a historic regular season last year and they are on pace to break their own record for the most wins in a single regular season in NHL history. This time around, however, they will be hoping to avoid the embarrassment of a first round playoff exit like last season. They should easily finish as the best team in the league as long as they remain healthy and consistent throughout the remainder of the regular season, and if they somehow maintain this pace, they could go down as the greatest team in history. Boston comes into this game with eleven victories in their first fourteen games of the season, and they will be looking for another victory here on Tuesday night in Buffalo.

The Buffalo Sabres are enjoying a pretty average start to the season, and they will be looking for a huge momentum boosting victory here on Tuesday night at home against Boston. For the last several seasons, Buffalo has been one of the worst teams in the league, and they are showing plenty of progress in their rebuild throughout the early part of this year. They come into this game with seven victories through their first fifteen games of the season as they have been hovering around the . 500 mark throughout the early part of the season. A victory over Boston here at home would give them plenty of momentum, heading into the remainder of November, and it would establish them as a potential threat for a playoff spot in the conference. They come into this game looking to snap a slump, as they’ve lost two out of their last three but unfortunately I don’t see that happening as I look for the Bruins to grab the win in this one.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Boston Bruins (-145)

Pittsburgh Penguins @ Columbus Blue Jackets – 7PM ET

Tony Battalio

Pittsburgh comes into this game looking to get a solid divisional victory over Columbus here on Tuesday night on the road to get the momentum rolling in the right direction early on this season. Pittsburgh has been hovering around 500 throughout the early part of the year as they come into this game with seven victories through their first thirteen games of the season. They are coming into this game after dismantling the Buffalo Sabres by four goals in their previous game and they will be looking for another dominant performance against a struggling Columbus team here on Tuesday night in Columbus as well. The Penguins are in a weird spot right now, as they are caught somewhere between being a competitive team and a rebuilding franchise, and they will still be looking to be competitive throughout the season and a victory over Columbus would help them accomplish that goal here on Tuesday night.

Columbus came into this season with plenty of expectations of being one of the top teams in the Metropolitan division but that has not been the case throughout the early part of the year. They have been awful on the defensive end of the ice as they have given up several key goals that has led to them losing games that they could’ve easily won had they been a little bit better on that end of the ice. They are giving up nearly 4 goals allowed per game game throughout the early part of the regular season and that is not sustainable for success in this league and they will have to handle that problem rather quickly. Otherwise, this could end up being another wasted year for Columbus, and they could end up towards the bottom of the standings sooner rather than later at this rate. They will be looking to bounce back in this one after losing to New York in their previous game, which extended their losing streak to five games. Unfortunately for Columbus, Pittsburgh comes into this game with all the momentum, and I look for them to grab the victory on the road as well.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Pittsburgh Penguins (-165)

Tampa Bay Lightning @ St.Louis Blues – 8PM ET

Tony Battalio

Despite still being in the middle of their dynasty run, Tampa Bay is having a slow start to this season, and they will be looking to get things turned around here with a victory on the road in St. Louis on Tuesday. Injuries and several other issues have caught up to Tampa Bay throughout the early part of this season and they will be looking to get back on track to remain competitive heading into the remainder of November. Tampa Bay comes into this game as losers of nine out of their first fifteen games on the season and they will be searching for their seventh victory of the year here in St. Louis on Tuesday night. The Lightning are currently in the middle of the pack in the Atlantic division, and they will need to get things back on track rather quickly to keep themselves in a position to grab a top seat in the conference this season. They come into this game on a two game losing streak after back-to-back losses at home, and they will be looking to snap that streak with a victory on the road.

The St. Louis Blues are off to a less than impressive start this season, and they will be looking to turn things around with a victory here at home over Tampa Bay on Tuesday night. Despite having a winning record through their first thirteen games of the season, they still had higher expectations opening up of the year and they expected a much better start. A victory here on Tuesday night at home against Tampa Bay would help them accomplish that goal and help them get off to a much better start throughout the remainder of November before heading into the winter months and the meat of the schedule. They come into this game with plenty of momentum as they are currently on a two game winning streak, and they have picked up four victories in their last five games on the year. I look for that momentum to continue and I look for St. Louis to pick up another victory over Tampa Bay here on Tuesday night at home as they look for their third consecutive victory of the season.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

St.Louis Blues (+110)

Arizona Coyotes @ Dallas Stars – 8PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Arizona Coyotes are off to a decent start to the season after being one of the worst teams in the league over the last several years. They will be looking to maintain that decent start with a victory here on Tuesday night on the road in Dallas as they look to get the momentum rolling throughout the remainder of November. Arizona comes into this game with a record of 7-6-1 through their first fourteen games of the season. They will be looking to grab their eighth victory of the season here on Tuesday night on the road against a solid Dallas team. Arizona currently sits in fifth place of the Central division, and they will be looking to move up the standings with a victory over the team leading that division here on Tuesday night against the Dallas Stars. They come into this game with a little bit of momentum after picking up a victory on the road in Nashville, but they will need to clean up their play on the defensive end of the ice to find some sustainable success this season. As they are giving up an average of three goals per game throughout the early part of the regular season.

Dallas is off to a solid start this season and they will be looking to maintain that pace with another quality performance here on Tuesday night at home against Arizona. They currently find themselves on top of the standings within the division, and they will be looking to further increase their lead with another quality performance in this game at home. Dallas comes into this game with double digit victories through their first fourteen games of the season, and they will be looking for their eleventh victory of the season here on Tuesday night at home against Arizona. They have been pretty solid on both ends of the ice this season, and they will be looking to keep that narrative alive with another solid performance, both on the offensive and defensive end of the ice here on Tuesday night. They are coming into this game on a three game winning streak after picking up three consecutive road victories and spending four out of their last five games away from home. They will be happy to be back in front of their home fans here in this one, and I expect them to show their appreciation with a victory over Arizona here on Tuesday night.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Dallas Stars -1.5 (+110)

New Jersey Devils @ Winnipeg Jets – 8PM ET

Tony Battalio

The New Jersey Devils come into this game looking to get a solid victory away from home north of the border in Winnipeg here on Tuesday night. It has been a somewhat decent start of the season for New Jersey and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling with another victory here in this one. New Jersey comes into this game hovering around the .500 mark through their first thirteen games of the season as they currently have seven victories and they will be looking for their eighth victory of the year here tonight. Jack Hughes has been a point scoring machine, but he has missed some time over the last couple of weeks due to injuries which has hampered their performance a little bit. They will be looking to get things back on track with a victory here on Tuesday night on the road against Winnipeg as they look to gain as much momentum as possible heading into the remaining days of November.

Winnipeg comes into this game looking to get a solid victory at home over New Jersey here on Tuesday night. They come into this game with seven victories to their name on the season through their first fourteen games and they will be looking for their eighth victory of the year here in this one. They’ve been playing solid hockey throughout the early part of the season but they need to clean up their play on the defensive end of the ice as they are giving up around three goals per game and that is not sustainable for long-term success in this league. They will need to clean up their play on PowerPlay as well as they have given up 13 goals when they’ve been a man down throughout the early part of the year. Both teams come into this game with losses in their previous game and both of them will be looking to get back in the win column but I look for it to be New Jersey that gets the job done here in this one on the road.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

NJ Devils (+105)
