They come in this one with 17 victories on the year and they will look for their 18th victory of the season here on Tuesday night on the road in New Jersey as they look for a crucial divisional win. Philadelphia comes into this game sitting in second place of the division and a victory would help them gain some ground on the first place team heading into the back half of December. Philadelphia comes into this game with plenty of momentum after winning two consecutive games and four out of their last five on the year. They will look to grab their third consecutive victory here on Tuesday night on the road against the New Jersey Devils. 

The New Jersey Devils are putting together a quality season, and they will look to keep the momentum rolling throughout this game on Tuesday night at home against Philadelphia. New Jersey comes into this game three games above the 500 mark through their first 29 games of the regular season and they will look for their seventeenth victory of the season here on Tuesday night at home against Philadelphia. They were blown out by the Anaheim Ducks in their previous game as they gave up eight goals and that is something they will look to clean up throughout this game on Tuesday night at home as they look to get right back into the win column. If New Jersey wants to find some long-term success this season, they need to clean up their play on the defensive end of the ice as they are giving up over three goals per game. I don’t look for things to get much better for them here in this one as I look for Philadelphia to pick up the victory on the road.

Edmonton Oilers @ New York Islanders – 7:30PM ET

Edmonton had a slow start to the regular season after Connor McDavid was injured early on in the year. They have picked it up over the last several weeks and they now find themselves getting closer and closer to getting back to .500. They will look to keep the momentum rolling throughout this game on Tuesday night south of the border in New York City on Long Island against the Islanders. Edmonton has the potential to be one of the best teams in the league this season as long as they can remain healthy and consistent throughout the remainder of the regular season. Edmonton comes into this game two games below the 500 mark through their first 29 games of the regular season and they will look for their 14th victory of the year here on Tuesday night on the road in New York. They come into this game on a two game losing streak and if they want to find long term success, they need to clean up their play on the defensive end of the ice. 

The New York Islanders are off to an average start to the regular season and they will look to get the momentum going throughout this game at home on Tuesday night. They come into this game two games below .500 through their first 30 games of the regular season and they will look to pick up their 15th victory of the year here on Tuesday night at home. It has been a roller coaster of a year for them so far as they’ve been unable to string together any type of consistency, and that is something that they will look to change throughout this game on Tuesday night against Edmonton. Despite having a losing record, they are still in third place of the Metropolitan division at the moment and they are still occupying a playoff spot, and they will look to build off of that throughout this game as well. They are having similar problems as Edmonton as they are giving up over three goals per game and they are currently on a two game losing streak as well. I expect them to lose a third consecutive game here on Tuesday night against the Oilers. 

Vancouver Canucks @ Nashville Predators – 8PM ET

It has been a respectable start to the season for the Vancouver Canucks and they will look to keep them rolling throughout this game on Tuesday night on the road in Nashville. Years of rebuilding has finally paid off for the Vancouver Canucks, and they will look to enjoy the fruits of their labor with another quality performance here on Tuesday night on the road against the Predators. They will look too further establish themselves as a legitimate contender within the Western Conference this season with another quality victory over another potential Western Conference playoff team here in this one. Vancouver comes into this game of 21 victories through their first 32 games of the season and they will look for their 22nd victory of the year here on Tuesday night on the road in Nashville. Vancouver comes into this game with a little bit of momentum after winning four out of their last five on the year.

Nashville comes into this game looking to cool down the Vancouver Canucks here on Tuesday night at home as they look for a statement victory over one of the top teams in the league early on in the regular season. This would be a huge momentum boosting victory for Nashville. If they could get the job done here on Tuesday night in front of their home fans against a solid and red hot Vancouver Canucks team. They come into this game with 18 victories through their first 31 games of the regular season and they will look to keep the momentum rolling as they look to go six games above .500 with another quality performance here in this one. Nashville needs to clean up their play on the defensive end of the ice if they want to remain successful throughout the season as they are giving up over three goals per game. I expect that to hurt them in this game on Tuesday as I look for Vancouver to pick up the win on the road.

Colorado Avalanche @ Chicago Blackhawks – 8:30PM ET

It has been a solid start to the regular season for the Colorado Avalanche and they will look to keep the momentum rolling throughout this game on Tuesday night in the Windy City against the Chicago Blackhawks. Colorado is only two years removed from a Stanley Cup title and they will look to get back to the Stanley Cup finals and win their second title in the last three years of another consistent regular season. They should be one of the favorites heading into the Stanley Cup playoffs so they can remain healthy and consistent throughout the remainder of the year. They come into this game on Tuesday night seven games above the .500 mark and they will look to join the twenty win club with another quality performance here on Tuesday night in Chicago. They come into this game with a little bit of momentum after winning two out of their last three, and they have already picked up one victory against the Blackhawks this season. 

Chicago is having a rough season but the one bright spot they’ve had throughout the early part of the year has been the emergency of rookie Connor Bedard. He will likely run away with the NHL rookie of the year award as long as he remains healthy and consistent throughout the remainder of the season. However, it seems as if it’ll be another long and rough season for the Chicago Blackhawks throughout the year as they come into this game as one of the worst teams in the league at the moment. Chicago has already eclipse the 20 loss mark throughout their first 30 games of the regular season and they will look to grab their 10th victory of the season here on Tuesday night at home against the Colorado Avalanche. They have been dreadful on both ends of the ice and they come into this game on a four game losing streak as well. I expect them to lose a fifth consecutive game and blowout fashion here on Tuesday night against Colorado.

Los Angeles Kings @ San Jose Sharks – 10:30PM ET

Los Angeles comes into this game looking to pick up a victory on the road against one of the worst teams in the league here on Tuesday night. It would really give them a solid momentum boost heading into the second half of December and they will look to build up as much momentum as they possibly can heading into New Year’s Eve. They have been solid throughout the early part of the regular season, but they have been unable to string any type of consistency together and they will hope that they could flip a switch throughout this game and get things going in the right direction throughout the rest of the calendar year as well. Los Angeles does come into this game seven games above the 500 mark through their first 27 games of the regular season and they will look to grab another victory here in this one. They have a little bit of momentum coming into this game after picking up a victory over Seattle in their previous game. 

The San Jose Sharks have been one of the worst teams in the league throughout the early part of the regular season and things likely won’t be getting any better for them anytime soon. They’ve been one of the worst teams in the league throughout the last several seasons and their rebuilding process still has a long way to go if the early part of this season is any indication of how the future will go. San Jose comes into this game 13 games below the .500 mark through their first 32 games of the regular season and they will look to get into the double digit win club with a quality performance here on Tuesday night at home against the Los Angeles Kings. They have been absolutely dreadful on both ends of the ice as they are only scoring around two goals a game while giving up about four goals per game, and that is certainly not sustainable for any type of success. I don’t look for things to get much better than this one as I look for the Los Angeles Kings to pick up the win here on Tuesday night on the road in San Jose.
