Chicago Blackhawks @ Florida Panthers – 1PM ET

Tony Battalio

It has been a pretty rough start to the season for the Chicago Blackhawks, as they come into this game with. a losing record through their first handful of games this season. They will be looking to get the momentum rolling in the right direction with a victory here on Sunday afternoon against the Florida Panthers. Chicago comes into this game as losers of seven out of their first 12 games on the season with all seven losses coming in regulation. They will be looking to pick up their sixth victory of the season here on Sunday afternoon on the road against the Florida Panthers in one of their toughest games of the year so far. However, they do have a bit of momentum coming into this game as they have won two out of their last three and they opened up their road trip with a victory in Tampa Bay. They are also coming off of a victory over Florida at home to open up the month of November and they will be looking to grab a second one here in this one.

The Florida Panthers will be looking to bounce back from their loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on the road in Chicago to open up November and return the favor here at home here on Sunday afternoon.  It has been a pretty decent start of the season for Florida as they come into this game with eight victories through their first thirteen games of the season and they will be looking for their ninth victory of the season here in this one. They are a pretty tough team to beat on their own home ice, and they will be looking to hold through to that narrative with a victory here against Chicago on Sunday afternoon. Florida comes into this game with plenty of momentum after losing to Chicago a couple weeks ago as they have now rattled off three victories in a row, and they will be looking to extend their winning streak to four with another quality performance here in this one. That is exactly what I expect as I look for the Florida Panthers to bring home the victory here on Sunday.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Florida Panthers -1.5 (-110)

Dallas Stars @ Minnesota Wild – 6PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Dallas Stars are off to a respectable start this season, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here on Sunday night on the road in Minnesota. This is a huge early season clash in the Central division, and both teams could use an early season victory over their rival and Dallas will be looking to pull it out on the road here on Sunday night. Dallas comes into this game with a solid amount of victories through their first thirteen games of the season and they will be looking for another victory early on in the year here in this one against Minnesota as they look to keep this solid start of the season intact, and put themselves on top of the division as well. At the moment they hold a one point lead over the Colorado Avalanche, and they will be looking to put some distance between themselves, and Colorado with a victory here in this one. They have been pretty solid on the road this season away from home and they will be looking to grab another victory on the road in the second game of this back-to-back after facing Winnipeg away from home on Saturday.

Minnesota comes into this game looking to get a solid early season victory over Dallas here on Sunday night at home as they look to climb their way back up the Central division standings. It has been a slow start to the season for Minnesota as they come into this game having won five of their first 14 games of the year and they will be looking to turn things around with a quality momentum, boosting victory here tonight against their division rivals. They are usually a competitive team within the central division, and they will have to get things going in the right direction if they want to remain competitive throughout the season as they cannot afford to drop early season divisional games at home like this one on Sunday afternoon. They will need to clean up their play on the defensive end of the ice as they are giving up an average of about four goals per game so far this season, and that will not lead to any type of success for Minnesota this year. Unfortunately, I don’t look for things to get much better for them in this one as I look for Dallas to hit the road and pick up the victory here on Sunday night.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Dallas Stars (-110)

Vancouver Canucks @ Montreal Canadiens – 7PM ET

Tony Battalio

It’s been a pretty solid start of the season for the Vancouver Canucks and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here on Sunday night when they stay across the country to play the Montréal Canadiens. After a few years spent rebuilding their roster they have put themselves in the position to be a contender in the Western Conference this season, as long as they remain consistent and healthy throughout the remainder of the year. This will be the second game of a back-to-back on the road for Vancouver after facing off with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday and they will be looking to wrap up this weekend on a positive note with a victory over Montreal here on Sunday night. At the moment Vancouver looks like one of the two odds on favorite to take their division however, their main competition is the defending Stanley Cup champions as well. They cannot afford to drop games like this to Montreal if they want to remain step for step with Vegas throughout the regular season.

It has been a pretty rough start to the season for Montreal and they come into this game looking to get a solid victory here on Sunday night at home against the Vancouver Canucks. This will be their second game in two nights at home after hosting the Boston Bruins on Saturday night and much like Vancouver, they will be looking to wrap up this back to back on a positive note with a solid victory here in this one. This is arguably one of the toughest stretches for any team in the league this season after playing Boston and Vancouver in back-to-back nights, as both of those teams have looked like two of the best teams in the league throughout the early part of the regular season. Montreal has been pretty inefficient on both ends of the ice throughout the early part of the season, and that will have to change rather quickly, if they want to start stringing some victories, and some momentum together. Unfortunately, I don’t see this game going their way as I look for the Vancouver Canucks to grab a comfortable victory over the Canadiens here on Sunday night.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Vancouver Canucks (-165)

Columbus Blue Jackets @ New York Rangers – 7PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Columbus Blue Jackets came into this season with plenty of expectations, but they have not lived up to those expectations quite yet. They have struggled throughout the early part of the year and they will be looking for a massive momentum boosting victory here on Sunday night against the New York Rangers as they look to get things rolling in the right direction. This will be the second game of a back to back for the Columbus Blue Jackets after hitting the road to play the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday and now their road trip will continue to Madison Square Garden here on Sunday. Columbus comes into this game with a losing record and they are in the bottom half of the division standings, and they will be looking to get things turned around rather quickly with a massive victory here on Sunday against a top New York team. They will be looking to wrap up this back to back on a positive note with a victory over the New York Rangers here on Sunday night at Madison Square Garden but they will have to be a lot better on both ends of the ice to get the job done here in this one.

The New York Rangers are off to a decent start this season and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here on Sunday night at home against the Columbus Blue Jackets. New York has been a competitive team within the Eastern Conference for the last several seasons, but they have yet to accomplish their ultimate goal of winning the Stanley Cup, and if they remain healthy and consistent throughout the regular season, they could be one of the favorites heading into the playoffs this year. The New York Rangers will have the day off on Saturday which gives them the rest advantage of this one after Columbus was in action against Detroit and they will be looking to use that to their advantage and pick up a victory here on Sunday night at home. The New York Rangers come into this game with double digit victories through their first 13 games of the season and they will be looking for their 11th win of the year here in this one. That is exactly what I expect as I look for them to get a comfortable victory over Columbus here at home.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

NY Rangers -1.5 (-120)

San Jose Sharks @ Anaheim Ducks – 8PM ET

Tony Battalio

The San Jose Sharks are well on their way to being the worst team in the league this season after their absolutely awful start to the year. They will be looking for a massive momentum boosting victory here on Sunday night on the road in Anaheim as they look to build any type of momentum at this point after losing double digit games in regulation already this season. San Jose has been absolutely dreadful on the defensive end of the ice throughout the season as they give up around five goals allowed per game this year. If they don’t turn things around, then they will arguably have an opportunity to go down as the worst single-season team in the history of the NHL as giving up five goals per game on average rarely ever leads to victories. They come into this game on a one game losing streak after being shut out by Vegas and their previous game by a score of five to nothing on the road.

The Anaheim Ducks are having a somewhat decent start to the season, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here on Sunday night at home against the San Jose Sharks. For a team in Anaheim’s position this is one of those season games that you absolutely cannot afford to lose against the worst team in the entire league. Anaheim will be looking to build as much momentum as possible heading into the third week of November, as they looked to grab a crucial victory here on Sunday night at home against San Jose to keep the momentum rolling. Anaheim comes into this game with seven victories through their first 13 games of the season and they will be looking for their eighth victory of the year here on Sunday night at home. They will also be looking to snap a two game losing streak after back-to-back losses to Philadelphia and Pittsburgh and that is exactly what I expect them to do in this game. As I look for them to pick up the victory and cover the puck line spread in the process against San Jose.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Anaheim Ducks -1.5 (+125)
