We have some spectacular clashes lined up including the Philadelphia Flyers and Boston Bruins playing at Lake Tahoe on an outdoor rink! We are excited for the game but more excited for the winners!

New Jersey Devils @ Washington Capitals – 2:00 PM ET

New Jersey lost to Buffalo on Saturday, 3-2, snapping their two-game winning streak. However, they have allowed just seven total goals over the last three games. The Devils are 6-4-2. Mackenzie Blackwood is expected to get the start against Washington. He has a 2.12 GAA and a .938 save percentage in six starts. Jack Hughes leads the team in scoring with 10 points, but has just three points over his last seven games. 

Washington lost to the New York Rangers on Saturday, 4-1. The Capitals are 8-5-3. They are expected to start Ilya Samsonov. He has made two starts to season with a 3.36 GAA and a .868 save percentage. Nicklas Backstrom leads the team in points with 20 points.  He was held off the score sheet on Saturday, breaking a five-game point streak. Backstrom has 16 points over the last 12 games.

Montréal Canadiens @ Ottawa Senators – 7:00 PM ET

Montréal faces Toronto on Saturday, but this preview was written prior to the conclusion of that contest. The Canadians are 9-4-2, second best in the North with a .667 winning percentage. Montréal has been impressive on the road at 6-0-2. Carey Price is expected to be in net. Price has a 2.64 GAA and a .901 save percentage and nine starts. Jeff Petry is tied for the team lead in points with 15 but has just two over the last five games.

Ottawa looks to rebound after losing their last two games to Toronto. The Senators are now 4-14-1 with a -34 goal differential, worst in the NHL. They are 1-5-1 at home this season. Ottawa will start Matt Murray in the net. He has a 3.82 GAA, but had been performing well of late, holding teams to seven total goals over a three-game span. However, he was lit up for six goals by Toronto on Thursday. Connor Brown is second on the team in points with 10, recording for over his last four games.

Philadelphia Flyers @ Boston Bruins – 7:30 PM ET

Philadelphia looks to rebound after a 3-2 loss to the Rangers on Thursday in a shootout. The Flyers are now 8-3-3, tied for second in the East Division. They are 3-1-1 on the road this year. Carter Hart is expected to be in net on Sunday. Hart has started 10 games and has a 3.31 GAA with a .902 save percentage. James van Riemsdyk saw his seven-game point streak end in the loss to New York. Joel Farabee has eight points over the last five games.

Boston looks to rebound after a 3-2 loss to New Jersey on Thursday. That was their second straight defeat after five straight victories. The Bruins are 10-3-2, tops in the East. They have a +11 goal differential which is also best in the division. Tuukka Rask will start in net for Boston. Rask has started nine games with a 2.51 GAA and a .906 save percentage. Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron lead the team with 18 points each.

Winnipeg Jets @ Vancouver Canucks – 10:00 PM ET

Winnipeg shutout Vancouver on Friday, 2-0. Laurent Brossoit stopped all 29 shots he faced. The Jets are now 10-6-1 with a +11 goal differential. Connor Hellebuyck will get the start on Sunday. He has started 13 games for Winnipeg with a 2.61 GAA and a .916 save percentage. Mark Scheifele added a goal on Friday, extending his team lead in points to 23.

The loss dropped the Canucks to 8-12-1. They have a -12 goal differential. Thatcher Demko stopped 29 of 30 shots in the game. He will be between the pipes again on Sunday, starting 12 games this season with a 3.31 GAA and a .901 save percentage. After scoring five total points in his previous two games, Brock Boeser was held off the score sheet against Winnipeg on Friday. He leads the team with 21 points.
