Two of the NHL’s top offenses are set to square off at American Airlines Center on Wednesday, as the Dallas Stars (19-8-6) host the Edmonton Oilers (17-14-2).
Edmonton is coming off a 4-3 overtime loss against the Predators on Monday, their third defeat in a row. The Oilers committed only two penalties in the game, yet still conceded a power play goal.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins led the Oilers with two goals. Jack Campbell only had 31 saves on 35 shots against (.885%) in the loss. Dallas beat the Blue Jackets 2-1 on Monday. Wyatt Johnston and Jason Robertson both scored once for the Stars. Jake Oettinger was impressive in the win, making 27 saves (.964%).

The Stars won the first meeting between the teams this season, a 6-2 victory in November. Jamie Benn (3G 0A) and Robertson (1G 2A) each had three points to lead Dallas. Leon Draisaitl and Darnell Nurse were on the scoresheet for Edmonton. Scott Wedgewood got the win, saving 28 of 30 shots (.933%).
