Detroit Red Wings @ Boston Bruins – 1PM ET

The Detroit Red Wings are off to a quality start to the season, and they will be looking to maintain that quality start of the year with a huge victory on the road in Boston. They are sitting right at the .500 mark through their first eighteen games of the regular season and they will be looking to break the double digit win barrier with a quality performance here on Friday afternoon in Boston. It would be a huge momentum boost for the Detroit Red Wings team as they would be taking down the best team in the NHL this season on their home ice to wrap up the month of November. A victory in this game would also help Detroit gain ground in the Atlantic division, where they currently sit in fifth place, and Boston currently sits at the top of the division throughout the early part of the season. Detroit has a little bit of momentum coming into this game after shutting out New Jersey in their last game and picking up a victory. They will be looking for their second victory in a row here in this game on Friday.

The Boston Bruins are off to an absolutely incredible start to the regular season, and at this pace, they would break their own record that they just set last season for the most victories in a single regular season. Boston comes into this game with 14 victories to their name through their first 18 games of the regular season and they will be looking to make it 15 out of 19 with another quality performance here at home on Friday. They have been solid on both ends of the ice as they are averaging around three goals per game and they are averaging around two goals allowed per game which has been pretty sustainable for long-term success for Boston at this point in the year. This is a Boston team that comes into this game as winners of three out of their last four and they have already beat Detroit at home once this season. I expect them to grab a second victory at home against Detroit with a quality win here in this game on Friday afternoon.

Toronto Maple Leafs @ Chicago Blackhawks – 2PM ET

The Toronto Maple Leafs come into this game looking to get things back on track heading into the end of November, and the beginning of December. Toronto came into this season with very high expectations, and after a start to the year they have cooled off throughout the rest of the month of November. That is something they will be looking to eradicate, heading into the end of the month as they look to get some victories put together to head into December on a high note. The Maple Leafs come into this game with double digit victories through their first 17 games of the regular season and they will be looking for their 11th victory of the year here on Friday night on the road in Chicago. Toronto has plenty of momentum coming into this game on Friday afternoon after winning their last four games of the season and they will be looking to further extend their winning streak with another quality performance here in this one.

The Chicago Blackhawks are struggling throughout the early part of the year, and they will be looking to turn things around with a crucial victory here on Friday afternoon at home against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Chicago is one of the original franchises in the NHL but they have not been much of a factor over the last couple of years. They have been stuck in a rebuilding process that still needs some work if the beginning of this season is any indication of where they are at. They come into this game as losers of 12 out of their first 17 games of the regular season and they will desperately need to pick up their sixth victory in this game if they want to get things back on track and remain in contention throughout the rest of the calendar year. They do have a victory over Toronto on the road in Canada from earlier this season but I don’t look for lightning to strike twice as I look for the Maple Leafs to grab the victory in this game.

New York Islanders @ Ottawa Senators – 7:30PM ET

The New York Islanders will be looking to pick up a quality victory over the Ottawa Senators here on Friday night north of the border in Canada. They are off to a rather slow start to the regular season and they will be looking to get things back on track with a quality victory here on the road in Ottawa on Friday night. They have picked up seven victories through their first 18 games of the season but five of their losses have come in overtime which has earned them five very needed points throughout the early part of the year. They are currently sitting in the middle of the pack of the Metropolitan division, and they will be looking to move up the standings with a victory over the Ottawa Senators here on Friday night. They’ve picked up two consecutive victories at home and they have plenty of momentum coming into the game against Ottawa. They will be looking for their third consecutive victory here on Friday night as they look to extend their winning streak and keep the momentum rolling. 

The Ottawa Senators will be looking for a solid victory at home over the New York Islanders here on Friday night coming out of the Thanksgiving break. Ottawa is hovering around the .500 mark coming into this game but they are on the positive side of the .500 mark through their first 15 games of the regular season. They are one of the few teams left in the league that has yet to record an overtime loss and they will be looking to keep it that way with a victory here in this game against the New York Islanders on Friday night. They come into this one with eight wins to their name, and they will be looking for their ninth victory of the season here on Friday night at home. Despite having a winning record coming into this game, they play in the toughest division in all of hockey which puts them in dead last of their division coming into this game on Friday night. They come into this game as winners of four out of their last five and of three in a row, and I look for them to grab their fourth consecutive victory here in this one.

Winnipeg Jets @ Florida Panthers – 8PM ET

The Winnipeg Jets coming into this game looking to head south and pick up a victory here on Friday night against the Florida Panthers. Winnipeg is off to a pretty solid start to the regular season as they come into this game with 11 victories through their first 18 games of the season. They will be looking for their 12th victory here on Friday night on the road against the Florida Panthers as they look to keep the momentum rolling throughout the end of November. They currently sit in third place of the Central division, and they will be looking to continue racking up victories throughout the rest of this calendar year, as they look to further establish themselves as a potential Stanley Cup title competitor this year. Winnipeg is having success in the short term right now, but they need to clean up their play on the defensive end of the ice as they are giving up three goals per game and that is not sustainable for long-term success throughout an 82 game season.

The Florida Panthers come into this game to snap the momentum of the Winnipeg Jets and get themselves a huge momentum boosting victory here on Friday night at home. Florida is also off to a quality start to the regular season and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here in this one as they come out of the Thanksgiving break looking to establish themselves as a contending team in the league this season. Florida comes into this game with 12 victories through the first 19 games of the season and they will be looking to make it 13 out of 20 with a quality game here on Friday night at home against the Winnipeg Jets. Florida comes into this game after losing to the Boston Bruins in their previous game. Meanwhile, Winnipeg is riding a wave of momentum as they come into this game on a four game winning streak and I look for them to pick up a fifth consecutive victory here on Friday night.

Calgary Flames @ Dallas Stars – 8:30PM ET

It has been a rough start to the season for the Calgary Flames and they will be looking to get things back on track here on Friday night on the road against Dallas. The Calgary Flames have been successful over the last couple of seasons, but things have not gone their way throughout the early part of this year. That is something they will need to figure out throughout the early months of the year before they get too deep into the season and too far out of playoff contention. They have lost 12 out of their first 19 games of the regular season and they will be looking to get things back on track with their eighth victory of the season here on Friday night on the road against a very tough Dallas Stars team. They come into this game after losing to the Nashville Predators and their previous game and they will be looking to snap they’re losing streak and get back into the win column with a victory here on Friday night.

The Dallas Stars are having a quality start to the regular season and they will be looking to keep them on rolling here in this game on Friday night at home against Calgary. Dallas comes into this game with 12 victories through their first 18 games of the regular season. They will be looking to grab their 13th victory of the season here and this one on Friday night against a struggling Calgary Flames team. They are coming off of a loss to the defending Stanley Cup champions in overtime in their previous game and they will also be looking to get back into the win column with a quality performance here at home on Friday night. They currently sit in first place in the Central division, and they will be looking to increase their lead within the division with a quality performance here in this game. That is exactly what I expect from Dallas here on Friday night as I look for them to grab the win over Calgary.
