Where Will the Running Game Go?
There is also uncertainty over where the Broncos will go from a running standpoint. Melvin Gordon and Phillip Lindsay have been sharing the carries for much of the season, although Royce Freeman has been active. The team brings in 120 rushing yards per game, but the team will need to figure out which two running backs it will utilize for the foreseeable future.

The Broncos have a difficult time keeping hold of the ball. The team has fumbled the ball sixteen times, losing possession on seven of those occasions. People shouldn’t worry much about whether the kicking game will be a problem for the Broncos’ future, as the kicking job will be appealing to anyone. Brandon McManus has benefitted, as he has gone 22-24 in field goals with an 8-10 record for kicks fifty yards or more.
How the Defense Looks
The Broncos’ defense features a few talents like Justin Simmons in the safety position and Alexander Johnson and Josey Jewell at linebacker. But the strongest worry for the defense is against the run. The team gives up about 130 rushing yards per game on average.
The Broncos will need to find new defenders who can pressure the run if they want to compete. Michigan’s Kwity Paye is expected to be available when the Broncos pick in the draft in April. Virginia Tech cornerback Caleb Farley is another option if the Broncos want to stick with someone who can manage running and passing plays.
