The Indiana Pacers (26-35, 8-20 Away) will be out to halt their road losing skid when they travel to face the Orlando Magic (25-35, 15-15 Home) on Saturday. Indiana dropped their last game against the Boston Celtics 142-138 in overtime at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Thursday.
With 40 points and 10 rebounds, Myles Turner led the way in the losing effort. The Pacers are the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference. Orlando won a close one on Thursday at Amway Center, beating the Detroit Pistons 108-106.
Franz Wagner tallied 21 points to lead the team in scoring. With 14 points and 14 rebounds, Wendell Carter Jr. also had a strong game. The Magic are 13th in the Eastern Conference. The teams are meeting for the final time this season.
Orlando will be looking to even the season series after getting the win in only one of the three previous games, including a 126-120 victory at Amway Center on January 25. Paolo Banchero led the Magic with 23 points, while Gary Harris added 22 points.
Bennedict Mathurin had 26 points in defeat. The Pacers have been led this season by Tyrese Haliburton (19.9 ppg), Turner (18.0), and Buddy Hield (17.5).
Turner also has grabbed 8.0 rebounds per game, while Haliburton has dished 10.1 assists per game, third-most in the NBA. Banchero and Wagner have supplied much of the Magic’s offense, averaging 19.7 and 18.9 points per game, respectively.
Banchero has also put up 6.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game. The Pacers are 7-3 in the last 10 games at Amway Center. Indiana is looking to avoid a 12th consecutive road loss this season.
