The Detroit Pistons (15-44, 7-23 Away) will be out to end their road losing streak when they are on the road to face the Orlando Magic (24-35, 14-15 Home) on Thursday. Detroit was blown out by the Boston Celtics 127-109 at TD Garden on February 15, their fourth loss in a row away from home.
Bojan Bogdanovic led the way in defeat with 28 points. The Pistons are 15th in the Eastern Conference. Orlando dropped their last game on February 14 at Scotiabank Arena, falling to the Toronto Raptors 123-113.
Wendell Carter Jr. tallied 26 points to top the scoresheet in the loss. With 24 points, four assists, two rebounds, and two steals, Jalen Suggs also had an impressive game. The Magic are 13th in the Eastern Conference.The teams are meeting for the last time this season.
Detroit will be looking for a season sweep against Orlando after taking both of their prior meetings, the last of which was a 121-101 victory at Little Caesars Arena in December 2022, their third straight head-to-head victory.
Alec Burks led the Pistons with 32 points. Franz Wagner had 19 points in defeat. Bogdanovic is averaging 21.8 points per game to lead the Pistons in scoring this season. Meanwhile, Jalen Duren is grabbing 8.7 rebounds per game, and Killian Hayes is dishing 5.8 assists.
Paolo Banchero and Wagner have been the primary providers for the Magic on offense, averaging 19.9 and 18.9 points per game, respectively. Banchero has also averaged 6.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.
