The Orlando Magic (8-20, 7-9 Home) will try to slow down one of the league’s top scoring teams when they play host to the Atlanta Hawks (14-14, 5-9 Away) on Wednesday. Atlanta was dominated by the Memphis Grizzlies 128-103 at FedExForum on Monday, their third consecutive loss away from home.
With 19 points, De’Andre Hunter was the scoring leader in defeat. Aaron Holiday added 15 points, six assists, four steals, and three rebounds. The Hawks are seventh in the Eastern Conference. Orlando won their third in a row on Sunday at Amway Center, beating the Toronto Raptors 111-99.
Franz Wagner led the team in scoring with 23 points. With 18 points and nine rebounds, Mo Bamba also impressed. The Magic are the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference.This is the final meeting of the season between the teams.
Atlanta will be seeking a season sweep against Orlando after getting the win in both of their prior games, the most recent of which was a 125-108 victory at Amway Center on November 30, their third straight head-to-head victory.
Trae Young led the Hawks with 30 points and 14 assists. Wagner had 22 points in defeat.Young is averaging 27.1 points per game, best in the NBA, to lead the Hawks in scoring this season.
