The Los Angeles Clippers (29-25, 15-14 Away), one of the NBA’s top scoring defenses, travel to face the Milwaukee Bucks (34-17, 21-5 Home) on Thursday. Los Angeles beat the Chicago Bulls 108-103 at United Center on Tuesday.
Kawhi Leonard led the way with 33 points and five steals. The Clippers are the fourth seed in the Western Conference. Milwaukee won their fifth in a row on Tuesday at Fiserv Forum, beating the Charlotte Hornets 124-115. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 34 points and 18 rebounds, carrying the team.
The Bucks are the third seed in the Eastern Conference, 2.5 games behind the Boston Celtics. It’s the first meeting of the season between the teams. Los Angeles and Milwaukee split their matchups last season, each team taking one. The Clippers won the last meeting 153-119 at Fiserv Forum in April 2022.
Robert Covington led the Clippers with 43 points, eight rebounds, and three blocks. Jordan Nwora had 28 points in defeat. The Clips have been led this season by Norman Powell, who is averaging 16.4 points per game.
Meanwhile, Ivica Zubac is grabbing 10.2 rebounds per game, eighth-most in the league, and Reggie Jackson is dishing 3.6 assists. Antetokounmpo has supplied much of the Bucks’ offense, averaging 31.8 points per game. He ranks as the third-highest scorer in the NBA.
Antetokounmpo also has averaged 12.2 rebounds per game, second-most in the NBA. Jrue Holiday has tallied 7.2 assists per game. Holding opponents to 110.5 points per game, the Clippers are one of the stingiest scoring defenses in the league (3rd).The Clippers are 1-3 in four games at Fiserv Forum.
