Phoenix Suns @ Cleveland Cavaliers – 7pm ET

The Cleveland Cavaliers are the next in line to attempt to stop the streak. The Phoenix Suns have now won 13 straight games and will be looking to make it 14 tonight, being seven-point favourites on the road against the Cavs. Will Cleveland be able to end two streaks tonight, their four-game losing streak and the Suns’ winning streak, or will Phoenix prove to be too good once again?

Denis Kirilov

The Phoenix Suns’ undefeated streak now stands at 13 games. They will have the chance to play against seemingly one last easier opponent before heading to New York and later on hosting the Warriors. The Suns have been winning their matches in high fashion recently as they have only had troubles against the Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Atlanta Hawks. The team is really balanced at the moment and it seems that each single player on the current roster found their rhythm.

On the other hand, we have a struggling Cavaliers’ team who will be without Collin Sexton for an uncertain period of time. Evan Mobley will also miss the game against the Suns, while Cedi Osman might not be available as well. The Cavs are in a 4-game losing streak as they had to face some of the best teams in the NBA in the likes of the Celtics, the Warriors, and the Nets. They showed that they can still compete equally with them, but it feels like something is missing from their equation. I think they won’t be able to find the right answer in their upcoming match against the Suns, so I will trust Phoenix one more time by giving them my preferences to cover their spread.

Denis’ NBA Pick: Phoenix Suns -7 (-110)

Michael Lantz

The Phoenix Suns have a one-track mind to get back on top of the Western Conference. They’re currently on a 13-game win streak, with both starters and bench players thriving. They’ll get a chance to take it to 14, as they face the Cleveland Cavaliers in Cleveland on Wednesday night.

After starting the season 9-5, the Cavs have fallen on some hard times, as they’ve lost four straight games. They’ve had a tough go with injuries, as they’ve lost leading scorer Collin Sexton for the season and star rookie Evan Mobley for a few more games with an elbow injury. Even getting Mobley back should give them the boost they need as they’ve at least kept most games close during this tough run. Still, a Suns team that’s absolutely on fire will be tough to handle, so I’ll pick them to cover a -7 spread on the road.

Michael’s NBA Pick: Phoenix Suns -7 (-110)

Noah Dunlap

Cleveland comes into this one having lost four straight, and I don’t expect that to get much better, as they’re now without Collin Sexton for the remainder of the season, and Evan Mobley is still out for an indeterminate amount of time due to injury as well. They’ve been playing well so far this season, to the surprise of many, but without these two in the lineup they’ve fallen on hard times and I don’t see why you would think it changes.

Phoenix comes into this one as the hottest team in the NBA, having won 13 straight, and after a slow start they’re finally looking like the same team that advanced to the NBA Finals last year. Against a Cleveland team that isn’t going to be able to match up with the size that the Suns can put on the floor, I like Phoenix to simply overpower the Cavs, even on the road.

Noah’s NBA Pick: Phoenix Suns -7 (-110)

Los Angeles Lakers @ Indiana Pacers – 7pm ET

One night after losing to the Knicks, the Los Angeles Lakers travel to Indianapolis to take on the Indiana Pacers. While the Lakers have won just one of their last five games, the Pacers have won two straight, including a smashing of the red-hot Bulls, in Chicago.

Denis Kirilov

The Los Angeles Lakers are in a bit of a disarray at the moment as they lost 4 out of their last 5 games in the NBA. The team struggles mainly in defense as they frequently concede more than 100 points. They are heading to Indiana for their last game on the road. Losing to the Knicks yesterday further put more pressure on LeBron James, Russel Westbrook, and Anthony Davis. They will have to find a way to bounce back as if they continue like that, nothing good awaits them. The team from LA is currently 9th in the Western Conference with a negative balance, winning 9 out of 19 games.

The Indiana Pacers felt like the perfect opponent the Lakers could have had, but with their victory over the Bulls by 32 points on Monday, I don’t think they would still think that way. They are a team who plays with a focus on their defense. The Pacers can be decent on the other end as well as they can rely on players like Domantas Sabonis, Caris LeVert, Myles Turner, and Malcolm Brogdon. LeBron James is expected to be back with his team after suffering his suspension against the New York Knicks. His teammates desperately need him at the moment and he will certainly boost their confidence and have a huge impact on their performance. However, I think that many people will fall into the trap of chasing a Lakers’ victory, because for me, the Pacers are experienced enough to use their opponent’s weaknesses against them. My pick here goes to Indiana.

Denis’ NBA Pick: Indiana Pacers (-118)

Michael Lantz

The 9-10 Lakers have had a disappointing start to the season, but a lot of that falls on the abdominal injury to LeBron James earlier in the season. Then, after James’ return, he had an altercation against Detroit’s Isaiah Stewart on Sunday which resulted in his ejection, and then a one-game suspension. That one game was on Tuesday night against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden. New York beat Los Angeles 106-100, but the Lakers should get James back on Wednesday night against the Indiana Pacers.

The Pacers have been pretty middle-of-the-pack in most statistics, but they do have an arsenal of offensive talent—so, their 8-11 record is a bit underwhelming. Luckily, they may be ready to make a big run, as they’ve won back-to-back games by hefty margins. They beat the New Orleans Pelicans by 17 on Saturday and then had a massive 32-point win over the Chicago Bulls, who were 12-5 going into that game. They’ll look to ride that momentum into Wednesday night’s game against the Lakers. This one has all the making of one that will go down to the wire, but imagining this Lakers squad has their “Big-3”, I’ll pick them with the +100 moneyline.

Michael’s NBA Pick: Los Angeles Lakers (+100)

Noah Dunlap

Will LA ever figure this season out? The roster is older, but full of past (and current) All-Stars, yet they look all out of sorts at the moment. Part of that is due to the fact that LeBron has missed much of the year, first with injury, and then he missed last night’s matchup against the New York Knicks due to a one game suspension. At some point, if they can get everyone healthy and playing together, I expect the Lakers to slowly build on their current 9-10 start, and probably make the postseason, but right now, based on everything I’ve seen, it’s hard to see that happening anytime soon.

Indiana, similarly, started extremely slow, but they’ve since turned their season around a bit. The defensive energy has been there, and the offense is putting enough points up to continue to win. They’ve won two straight, including a massive 32-point blowout over the Chicago Bulls, who have been one of the best teams in basketball all year long. This is almost certain to be a close game, and I like that Indiana is playing better basketball, but in the end, I think LeBron comes out frustrated following the suspension and has a big night, and I also look for Anthony Davis to come out and have a good night as well, getting LA the close win.

Noah’s NBA Pick: Los Angeles Lakers (+100)

Brooklyn Nets @ Boston Celtics – 7:30pm ET

The Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets collide inside TD Garden tonight, with one side’s three-game winning streak extending to four games while the others will be stopped on the spot. This clash between Jayson Tatum and Kevin Durant is always one for the ages, however Boston may be without Jaylen Brown, who is being eased back into action following his hamstring injury.

Denis Kirilov

The Boston Celtics will take on the Brooklyn Nets in one of the most anticipated games in the Eastern Conference. Both teams are looking really sharp recently with the Nets holding a record of 11 wins and 2 losses, while the Celtics recorded 8 wins in their last 11 games. Jayson Tatum is on a 4-game streak where he has scored 30+ points, while Kevin Durant has missed to go past the 20-point mark in just one single game against the Warriors where he dropped 19 points. Dennis Schroder also displays incredible performance recently, but he will definitely need to minimize these turnovers.

Joe Harris and Bruce Brown will miss the upcoming fixture for the Nets, while questionable for Celtics are Josh Richardson and Jaylen Brown. For me, Durant vs. Tatum will be a very interesting matchup to follow, as their performance will most likely decide the outcome of the match. It’s hard to pick a winner from these two, so I will just trust my instincts that both teams will pick a strategy that won’t be focused on staying defensive. I believe if Durant and Tatum start draining bucket after bucket, they have high chances of covering the points for the game. I am choosing the option for “over points” in this one, as it seems to me like the safest and most valuable pick.

Denis’ NBA Pick: Over 216 (-110)

Michael Lantz

The Brooklyn Nets make their way to Boston on Wednesday night to face the team they sent packing during last season’s playoffs. This season Celtics have hung on, despite missing Jaylen Brown for the last couple of weeks with an injury, Boston is sitting at 10-8 and have won three straight games. Now, Jaylen Brown is back: he scored 19 points in his return against the Houston Rockets and barring the team wanting to rest him, he should be able to play in the clash against the Nets.

Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets are 13-5 and currently have the best record in the Eastern Conference. But, they’ve struggled at times against top teams in the league, so they’ll certainly have their hands full against a streaking Celtics squad. The Nets will depend heavily on early MVP candidate Kevin Durant, as James Harden continues to be a bit inconsistent. They’ll also look to supporting scorers like LaMarcus Aldridge and Patty Mills to up the scoring, especially with guys like Joe Harris and Bruce Brown sitting out. Despite a solid record that has them near the top of the entire league, I still have my doubts when it comes to the Nets in these kinds of games. I’ll go with the C’s at home.

Michael’s NBA Pick: Boston Celtics (-104)

Noah Dunlap

The Celtics may have finally figured out how to play basketball. After an abysmal start, that included atrocious shooting from virtually everyone on the roster, they seem to have turned it around, and have now won three straight on their way to a 10-8 record. While this has been without Jaylen Brown, who has missed a few weeks with an injury, they’ve seen Jayson Tatum step up in a major way in his absence. With Brown returning, if they can continue to get this solid play from Tatum, the C’s have the potential to turn it on in a big way and look to make a run in the East.

However, in this one they run into a Brooklyn team that is also playing really good basketball, led by MVP-candidate Kevin Durant. The problem with the Nets up to this point is that they’re dealing with a James Harden that hasn’t seemed to find his rhythm so far this season. With Kyrie Irving already out due to personal reasons, they’re in serious need of Harden to step up and resemble the player he’s been in recent years. In the end, I think this one stays extremely tight, and with it being in Boston, go ahead and lean the Celtics way, if solely because of the home-court advantage.

Noah’s NBA Pick: Boston Celtics (-104)

Miami Heat @ Minnesota Timberwolves – 8pm ET

The Minnesota Timberwolves have heated up over the last week of action, winning four straight games and getting their record to just one game below 0.500. They are now tasked with hosting the Miami Heat, and former Timberwolf, Jimmy Butler. The animosity between Butler and Karl-Anthony Towns was no secret, so you know that both of them will want to put their best foot forward in tonight’s clash.

Denis Kirilov

The Miami Heat will face a high-flying Minnesota Timberwolves team on Wednesday night in the NBA. The hosts are in a 4-game winning streak; a run depicted by just a single word – dominance. They defeated the Kings by 10 points and later on went on to crush the Spurs by 25 points. The biggest display of dominance came in the match against the Memphis Grizzlies where the Grizzlies suffered a 43-point loss. After that, the Timberwolves didn’t have any troubles in overcoming the Pelicans by 14 points as they built a massive lead in the 2nd quarter. Karl-Anthony Towns, D’Angelo Russell, and Anthony Edwards are all healthy and they will mark the Heat as their next target.

Miami is doing fabulous so far this season as they are 2nd in the East with 12 wins and 6 losses. Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro, and Kyle Lowry make such great combinations that one would think they are top contenders for the NBA Championship. The team had to go through hell in their previous game against the Detroit Pistons where they entered the 4th quarter with a 9-point deficit. Adding this performance to the one against the Wizards on Saturday and we have a raising issue for the Heat. They might soon need to rest their players so that they don’t run out of gas for the rest of the campaign. The information so far is that both Adebayo and P.J. Tucker are expected to miss the fixture against the Timberwolves due to non-Covid illness, while Robinson might be out with a knee injury. This makes me think that Minnesota will have a shot at the victory tomorrow, so I will go with them this time.

Denis’ NBA Pick: Minnesota Timberwolves (+108)

Michael Lantz

The young Minnesota Timberwolves are giving their long-suffering fans something to get excited about. The team is in the midst of a four-game win streak and have been watching their three young stars (Karl Anthony-Towns, Anthony Edwards, and D’Angelo Russell) really start to mesh. These young players have also been getting some veteran help from the likes of Patrick Beverly and Malik Beasley to guide them to new grounds. Now, this exciting Wolves team will have a big test as they take on one of the NBA’s best in the Miami Heat.

After blowing a 16-point lead on Saturday night, the Miami Heat were able to collect a 100-92 win against an upstart Detroit Pistons squad. Now, the Heat will face another up-and-coming team 24 hours later by travelling to Minnesota. When at full-strength, the Heat have been pretty electric on both sides of the ball, but they still have shown some vulnerabilities. Aside from blowing the game against the Wizards, they needed a 33-16 fourth quarter to beat the Pistons. They can’t let their guard down against a spry Timberwolves team that’s starting to build a winning formula. It should be a close call, but I expect the Heat to put this young team in their place. There’s still some questions around the Wolves’ toughness, and the Heat have some prime tough guys in P.J. Tucker and Bam Adebayo that will get under their skin.

Michael’s NBA Pick: Miami Heat (-126)

Noah Dunlap

In a new development, we may have a Minnesota Timberwolves team that actually wants to make the postseason. In years past, Minnesota has oftentimes been a complete travesty, partially due to the roster, and partially simply due to lack of effort put forth much of the time. That doesn’t appear to be the case anymore, as with young guns Anthony Edwards and D’Angelo Russell, they finally have the talent to compliment Karl-Anthony Towns. Adding Patrick Beverly in the offseason was also a great move, as if there’s one thing we know about Pat Bev it’s that he doesn’t lack energy, especially on the defensive side of the floor. This T’Wolves team has won four straight, and I think they have a decent chance to make it five tonight.

The Heat come into this one as one of the best teams in the East, when fully healthy. They’ve shown a tendency to slip if they’re missing one or two pieces in any game, and there’s some speculation that Bam Adebayo could miss this one due to an illness, I’m somewhat hesitant to take Miami to get the win. Even with Bam playing, I actually think KAT plays well enough for Minnesota to sneak away with a win, and if Anthony Edwards can put up another solid performance, at least matching the play of Tyler Herro, I would be more comfortable taking the ‘Wolves to get the win. However, with some uncertainty surrounding it, be a bit cautious, and instead simply take Minnesota to cover the 2, and hope for a really tight ballgame.

Noah’s NBA Pick: Minnesota Timberwolves +2 (-110)

Philadelphia 76ers @ Golden State Warriors – 10pm ET

The short-handed Philadelphia 76ers may have won two of their last three, all on the road, but they now must face the Golden State Warriors, who have been the best team in the league so far this season. While Philly have won two of three, the Warriors have won each of their last four, with three of those being by 15+ points.

Denis Kirilov

In what promises to be the main event in the NBA on Wednesday night, Philadelphia 76ers travel to Oakland to face off the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors continue their march towards being the best team in the NBA as they already have 15 wins and just 2 losses. They are, without a doubt, the most dominant team in the League so far as they have dropped 223 points more than they have conceded. Their attacking trio consisting of Steph Curry, Jordan Poole, and Andrew Wiggins seems to have found its rhythm and we can just imagine what the team will look like when Klay Thompson and James Wiseman are once again available for Steve Kerr.

The Philadelphia 76ers continue to be without their superstar, Joel Embiid, as he is sidelined due to Covid-19. Danny Green suffered a muscle injury against the Indiana Pacers 10 days ago and is still recovering. Tobias Harris might also miss the upcoming fixture due to a hip injury. The 76ers will have to depend on Seth Curry, Tyrese Maxey, and Georges Niang, which seems to be far from enough to compete with this Warriors’ team. For me, Steph Curry should have an easier task without Joel Embiid in defense for Philly and he might go back to dropping around 40 points. For me, Golden State shouldn’t have big problems in covering the spread.

Denis’ NBA Pick: Golden State Warriors -10.5 (-110)

Michael Lantz

If both teams were at full-strength, this one would be a thrill. Unfortunately, the Philadelphia 76ers are still without Joel Embiid until at least Saturday, and they also may miss Seth Curry and Tobias Harris, who are listed as questionable. While this Sixers team full of backups had a big win against a pitiful Kings team on Monday—this one is a different story. They’ll have a hard time against the NBA’s best team in the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors are league leaders on both sides of the ball, and they aren’t strictly depending on Steph Curry for offense. Sure, the future hall-of-famer is second in the league in scoring, but the team is getting big offense from guys like Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole as well. With Klay Thompson near his return and James Wiseman not far behind, this Golden State team is buckling up for a big run. This one against the Sixers shouldn’t be much of a contest. I’ll pick the Warriors to easily cover a 10.5 spread.

Michael’s NBA Pick: Golden State Warriors -10.5 (-110)

Noah Dunlap

This Golden State team is already, in my opinion, the best team in basketball, and that’s without Klay Thompson and James Wiseman in the lineup. Once they manage to make their way back, which looks as if it won’t be too far away, I think this team has the chance to become virtually unstoppable. With Steph doing Steph-like things, Andrew Wiggins beginning to look like what was expected of him when he was drafted, and Jordan Poole giving absurd production as an unlikely source, this Warriors team is absolutely a title contender, and right now they’re my favorite to win the West, and probably the NBA Finals, as well.

In this one, they get a depleted Philadelphia 76ers team that is set to be without Joel Embiid, Danny Green, and they could potentially be without Seth Curry and Tobias Harris, as well. Without the core of this team, I simply don’t see how Philly manages to stay on the floor with the squad that Golden State has been putting on the floor this season, with the way they’ve been playing. Especially with this one being in Oakland, I think the Warriors just come out and take care of business in a major way, never letting this one get put in any type of doubt.

Noah’s NBA Pick: Golden State Warriors -10.5 (-110)
