Brooklyn Nets @ Atlanta Hawks – 7:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

It has been a decent start to the regular season for the Brooklyn Nets, and they will be looking to get things turned around with a quality victory here in Atlanta on Wednesday night. Just a couple years ago the Brooklyn Nets looked like a favorite to win the NBA championship when they had three of the best players in the league on their roster. Now less than a full season later, all of those players are no longer with the team and they have a completely rebuilt roster, ready to compete for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. However, if that is still the goal this season, they will need to keep things going after their decent start to the year, if they want to remain competitive in an absolutely loaded Eastern Conference. Brooklyn comes into this game one game above .500 through their first 19 games of the regular season and they will be looking for their 11th victory of the year here on Wednesday night against the Atlanta Hawks.

The Atlanta Hawks come into this game hovering right below the .500 mark through their first 19 games of the regular season. Atlanta will be looking to pick up their 10th victory of the season here at home on Wednesday night against the Brooklyn Nets as they looked to get some momentum built up throughout the early part of December. For Atlanta to pick up a victory at home over Brooklyn in this game, they will need Trae Young to step up and put up quality numbers. When he is on his game the Atlanta Hawks are a very hard team to beat especially in their home arena. Atlanta comes into this game after losing to the Milwaukee Bucks on the road and they will be looking to return home on a positive note and grab a victory here on Wednesday night against the Brooklyn Nets says they look to get right back into the win column. That is exactly what I expect as I look for Atlanta to pick up the victory in this game on Wednesday night against Brooklyn at home.

SportsTips’ NBA Pick:

Atlanta Hawks -3.5 (-115)

San Antonio Spurs @ Minnesota Timberwolves – 7:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

It has been a rough start to the regular season for the San Antonio Spurs, but it was to be expected because they came into this year with one of the youngest teams in the league. They have been in rebuilding mode for quite some time now but they have shown plenty of progress throughout the early part of the regular season. Former number one overall draft selection, Victor Wembanyama has made huge strides since coming to the NBA and he was looking to continue leading this team as he tries to lead them to a quality performance against Minnesota here on Wednesday night on the road. San Antonio comes into this game with 16 losses through their first 19 games of the regular season and they will be desperate to pick up a victory on the road in Minnesota here on Wednesday night as they look to get things rolling in the right direction. The Spurs will be looking to snap a massive losing streak with a quality performance in this game, but they will need to play a near perfect game if they want to get the job done.

Minnesota has been one of the best teams in basketball throughout the early part of the regular season as the duo of Anthony Edwards, and Karl Anthony Towns has paid off throughout the early part of the year. They will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here on Wednesday night at home as they welcome in the San Antonio Spurs, and they will be looking to further extend their lead over the rest of the teams in the Western Conference with a quality victory. Minnesota comes into this game with 15 victories through their first 19 games of the regular season and they will be looking for their 16th victory of the year here on Wednesday night at home against San Antonio. Minnesota has already picked up a victory over San Antonio earlier this season, and they will be looking for a second consecutive victory here on Wednesday night. That is exactly what I expect as I look for them to pick up a second consecutive win over the San Antonio Spurs and cover the spread in the process here on Wednesday night at home.

SportsTips’ NBA Pick:

Minnesota Timberwolves -12.5 (-110)

Charlotte Hornets @ Chicago Bulls – 8PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Charlotte Hornets come into this game after a rough start to the regular season thanks to some very inconsistent play from their superstars. They will be looking to pick up a much-needed victory here on Wednesday night on the road against the Chicago Bulls as they look to get some momentum rolling in the right direction heading into the month of December. Charlotte has been very underwhelming throughout the early part of the year as they come into this game with 12 losses through their first 18 games of the regular season and that is something they will be looking to change rather quickly. For that to happen, they will need to start playing way more consistent basketball and guys like LaMelo Ball will have to step up and put up better numbers each and every night. They will also need to do it with a lot more consistency than they’ve been doing throughout the early part of the season.

The Chicago Bulls are having a rough start of the season as well, and they are in need of a huge momentum boosting victory throughout the early part of the year if they want to get things going in the right direction. Due to their slow start of the regular season rumors are starting to come up about the possibility of them trading both Zach LaVine, and DeMar DeRozan at some point before the trade deadline. When this duo teamed up in Chicago with Lonzo Ball, they had high hopes and plenty of expectations, but Lonzo Ball has been injured for the majority of the time and DeRozan and LaVine have not been able to get the job done by themselves throughout the last year and a half. Chicago comes into this game as losers of 14 out of their first 21 games of the regular season and they will be looking to get things turned around with a quality performance here on Wednesday night against a struggling Hornets team. That is exactly what I expect, as I look for Chicago to grab a victory over Charlotte here on Wednesday night at home.

SportsTips’ NBA Pick:

Chicago Bulls -4.5 (-110)

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Houston Rockets – 8PM ET

Tony Battalio

Oklahoma City is off to a respectable start to the regular season and they will be facing off with a team that is also off to a very surprising start this season when they take the court on Wednesday night in Houston. Oklahoma City has found a solid mix of veterans and young players to get the job done throughout the early part of the year and they will be looking to keep them momentum rolling here on Wednesday night. Oklahoma City comes into this game with 13 victories through their first 19 games of the regular season and they will be looking for win number 14 here on Wednesday night on the road in Houston. It has been a solid rebuilding process that is finally starting to pay off for Oklahoma City and they will be looking to further establish themselves as a legitimate playoff team with another quality performance here in this game against the Houston Rockets. Oklahoma City comes into this game with plenty of momentum as they are currently on a two game-winning streak, and they will be looking for a third consecutive victory here in this one.

Houston has found themselves in a similar situation as they are off to a respectable start to the regular season because of a solid mix of players on their roster. The only problem is Houston was unable to maintain their success and continue to convert it into victories. As they come into this game one game below .500 through their first 17 games of the regular season and they will be looking to get back to 500 with a victory here on Wednesday. They have been in a little bit of a rebuilding period themselves, and they are far ahead of schedule at the moment they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling with a victory here on Wednesday night at home against Oklahoma City. The Rockets had a fantastic start of the year, but they have had a rough patch of the last couple of weeks and they will be looking to get things going in the right direction once again. They will be happy to be back home after losing three consecutive games on the road and they will be looking to get back into the win column with a victory here on Wednesday night at home. However, I don’t see that happening. I look for Oklahoma City to pick up the win.

Portland Trail Blazers @ Golden State Warriors – 10PM ET

Tony Battalio

Portland has had a rough start out of the gate as they have been unable to replace the production of Damian Lillard throughout the early part of the regular season. That is something that will likely haunt them throughout the majority of the year, and that is why they will likely finish towards the bottom of the league this season and enter into a rebuilding period when the year ends. They come into this game looking to upset Golden State in San Francisco, which is one of the toughest things to do in the NBA and they will have to do it with a combination of solid team players they lack a bonafide superstar to help them pick up victories like this throughout the year. They have had struggles closing out games throughout the early part of the regular season as they have taken leads late into the fourth quarter before collapsing and they would end up losing the game. That is something that we have to change rather quickly, if they want to at least attempt to remain competitive throughout the remainder of this season.

Golden State comes into this game looking to pick up a solid victory on Wednesday night at home over Portland. They had a fantastic start to the regular season before an injury to Steph Curry put them behind the eight ball a bit but they will be looking to continue recovering with a quality victory here in this one. Golden State comes into this game two games below the .500 mark through their first 20 games of the regular season as they will be looking to pick up their 10th victory of the year here on Wednesday night at home. Over the entire run of their dynasty they have been a very tough team to beat at home, and they will be looking to hold through to that narrative with another quality performance here in this one against Portland. That is exactly what I expect of the Warriors here on Wednesday night as I look for Golden State to not only pick up the victory at home, but cover the spread in the process.
