Philadelphia 76ers @ Milwaukee Bucks – 7:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Philadelphia 76ers will be looking to get their season off to a solid start when they take on one of the favorites in the Eastern Conference, the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night on the road in Milwaukee. Philadelphia has a solid core on their roster, but they will likely be without James Harden if the recent rumors of him wanting out of Philadelphia become true, and he ends up being traded away. Which means most of the focus will fall on big man, and defending MVP award winner Joel Embiid. He will be looking to lead this Philadelphia team to a victory against the leagues newest super team that has Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Damian Lillard on their roster.

The Milwaukee Bucks will be looking to get their new era off to a solid start here on Thursday night at home against Philadelphia as they look to make Damian Lillard’s regular season debut as special as possible. Milwaukee was one of the top favorites in the league to bring the NBA championship, but they have established themselves even more as a potential championship with the addition of Damian Lillard next to Giannis, Antetokounmpo, and the heights that these two could reach together seem unimaginable and unheard of at thr moment. I expect them to both put up quality performances in this season opening game on Thursday night at home and pick up the victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.

SportsTips’ NBA Pick:

Milwaukee Bucks -5.5 (-115)

Phoenix Suns @ Los Angeles Lakers – 10PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Phoenix Suns picked up a solid victory on opening night against the Golden State Warriors. Now they will be looking to continue playing solid basketball in their second game of the season on the West Coast against the Los Angeles Lakers. It was a game, high 32 points for Devin Booker that led the way for the Phoenix Suns and he will be looking to replicate that performance here in the second game of the season in Los Angeles as they look to add to the Lakers struggles after they lost their season opener to the defending NBA champions, the Denver Nuggets. During this full season of the combo of Booker and Durant, Phoenix has an opportunity to put together a very nice run throughout the regular season, and they will be looking to kickstart that run with their second consecutive victory here on Thursday night.

The Los Angeles Lakers will be looking to bounce back from their season opening loss to the defending NBA champions, the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night on the road in Denver. LeBron James put up solid numbers, but Anthony Davis will have to be a lot more efficient shooting from the floor if Los Angeles wants to have some success and their second game of the season against the Phoenix Suns and they will have to get some stops at the defensive end of the court as well. Both LeBron and Anthony Davis will have to put up quality numbers in this game on Thursday night at home for them to grab the victory and I simply don’t see that happening as I look for Phoenix to grab their second consecutive victory to open up the season.

Phoenix Suns (+180)
