Brooklyn Nets @ Miami Heat – 7:30PM ET

The Brooklyn Nets are having a rough start to this new season and they will be looking for a huge momentum boosting victory here on Thursday night on the road against the Miami Heat. Just 24 months ago Brooklyn looked like they were on pace to win a championship in the near future when they had a massive big three of Kyrie, Irving, Kevin Durant, and James Harden. However, now, none of those three players are on the roster, and they have a rebuilt roster that has a chance to be competitive within a loaded Eastern Conference this season as long as they remain healthy and consistent throughout the year. They will need to get some momentum going in the right direction rather quickly, however, as they are off to a lackluster start to the season through their first handful of games. Brooklyn comes into this game with a winning record, but they are hovering around 500 and they will be looking to get their seventh victory of the season here in this one on Thursday night in Miami. 

The Miami Heat had a relatively slow start to the season but they have picked it up over the last week and a half and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here on Thursday night at home against the Brooklyn Nets. They come into this game looking for their eighth victory of the season in their first 12 games of the year as they are riding a wave of momentum at the moment. They are currently on a six game winning streak and ironically their last loss was to this Brooklyn Nets team at home so they will be looking to make up for that here on Thursday night when they face them for the second time this season. They should find themselves in a much better position this time around as compared to the beginning of the month when they face this team and I expect Miami to end up grabbing the victory in this one at home over Brooklyn the second time around. I don’t see this one being relatively close as I look for the Miami Heat to cover the spread in the process as well.

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Golden State Warriors – 10PM ET

Oklahoma City is off to a pretty successful start this season and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling on the road against Golden State here on Thursday night. They will be entering one of the toughest environments to play in the league, and they will be looking to overcome that with a much needed victory here on Thursday night to pick up their eighth victory of the regular season. Oklahoma City comes into this game on a two game winning streak and they have also picked up four victories and their previous five games and they will be looking to make it five out of six and grab a third consecutive win here on Thursday night. This will be their second game of the season against Golden State and last time they lost by two points in a very high scoring game that had a combined 280 points between the two teams. Oklahoma City will be looking to replicate that performance with a different outcome this time around as they look for their first victory of the season over the Warriors here on Thursday night on the road.

Golden State was off to a pretty solid start this season and they will be looking to pick up their second victory of the season against Oklahoma City here on Thursday night at home. After a fantastic start of the year injury started to pile up for them, and they will be looking to get things straightened out although they will likely be without Steph Curry in this game as he is currently listed as a gametime decision as he continues to deal with an injury to his knee. They come into this game sitting at the .500 mark through their first 12 games of the season and they will be looking to grab their seventh victory of the year here on Thursday night at home. After several setbacks, Golden State now comes into this game on a four game losing streak, and they will be looking to get things back on track here on Thursday night as they look to get back into the win column for the first time in a week in what will be a much-needed victory for this team. They will also be looking to pick up a victory for the first time during this current homestand as they are 0-3 throughout their first three games. Unfortunately, I don’t see that happening as I look for Oklahoma City to grab the win here on Thursday night.
