The teams are meeting for the first time this season. Chicago won two out of three games between the teams last season, although Brooklyn won 138-112 in the last meeting at United Center on January 12. Durant led the Nets with 27 points, while James Harden added 25 points, 16 assists, and seven rebounds.
Zach LaVine had 22 points and six assists in the losing effort. The Bulls have been led this season by DeRozan and LaVine, who are averaging 25.9 and 22.5 points per game, respectively. DeRozan also has dished 4.6 assists per game. Meanwhile, Vucevic is grabbing 11.9 rebounds per game.
Durant and Kyrie Irving have been the primary providers of the Nets’ offense, averaging 32.6 and 30.1 points per game, respectively. Durant ranks fourth in the league in scoring, while Irving is 10th. Nicolas Claxton is collecting 8.6 rebounds per game, and Ben Simmons is tallying 7.2 assists.
The Bulls are 3-7 in their last 10 games at Barclays Center. Meanwhile, the Nets lost the only previous game when playing two days in a row this season, which also saw them playing against a rested opponent.
