The Miami Marlins (23-21) take one of the lowest-scoring lineups in MLB on the road to face the San Francisco Giants (20-23) at Oracle Park on Friday to open a three-game series. The Marlins are embarking on a 10-game road trip after closing out a productive six-game homestand (4-2).
They are coming off a three-game sweep of the Nationals, taking the finale 5-3 on Thursday at loanDepot park for their fourth straight win. Xavier Edwards was 2 for 3 with a double, one run, and one RBI.

HEAD-TO-HEAD
The Marlins have won two of three in the season series between the teams, although they suffered a 5-2 defeat in 11 innings in their last meeting on April 19 at loanDepot park.
Reliever Camilo Doval was credited with the win after throwing 1.1 scoreless innings, and Taylor Rogers threw 0.2 scoreless innings to pick up his first save of the season.
ON THE MOUND
Sandy Alcantara (1-4, 4.91 ERA) is set to get the start for Miami. The RHP allowed six runs over 7.2 innings in his last start, a 6-5 road defeat against the Reds on Saturday. He was charged with the loss, giving up seven hits while striking out nine and walking two.

In his last start on Saturday, DeSclafani took the loss on the road against the Diamondbacks. He threw five innings and gave up three runs on five hits, striking out two and walking one in the 7-2 defeat.
