Ryne Nelson (3-4, 5.31 ERA) is in line to take the mound for Arizona. The right-hander allowed three runs over five innings in his last start, a 7-5 home defeat against the Brewers on Tuesday. He scattered six hits while striking out six in the no-decision.
Nelson has made one previous start against the Giants this season, a 7-5 home victory on May 12. He surrendered four runs on seven hits over 4.2 innings, striking out four and walking one. RHP Anthony DeSclafani (4-6, 4.38 ERA) gets the start for San Francisco.
He has made one prior start against the Diamondbacks this season, giving up three runs over five innings in a 7-2 road defeat on May 13. He gave up five hits and walked one while striking out two in the loss.
In his last start on Tuesday, DeSclafani took a no-decision at home against the Padres. He threw five innings and gave up three runs on eight hits, striking out six and walking one in the 4-3 victory.
