AT THE PLATE
Over the last five games, Toronto has averaged only 3.6 runs a game, down from their season average of 4.7, due in part to diminished slugging (.400 vs .422). Against righties like Megill this season, the Jays have a .766 OPS, fifth highest in MLB.
Brandon Belt is the team’s biggest on-base threat against right-handers with a .397 OBP in 120 at-bats. New York is averaging only 4.0 runs per game in the last five, down slightly from 4.4 for the season.
The Mets have a .712 OPS against right-handers in 2023. With a .851 OPS over 151 at-bats, Pete Alonso has been their best hitter against right-handers.
HOME AND AWAY
