The Arizona Diamondbacks (44-30) are on the road to face the Milwaukee Brewers (38-35) at American Family Field on Wednesday with the three-game series in the balance.
The Brewers evened the series 1-1 after winning 7-5 on Tuesday, their second head-to-head victory in five games this season. Reliever Bryse Wilson threw 0.1 scoreless innings to get the win, and Devin Williams earned his 13th save with a scoreless ninth.
Luis Urias went 2 for 3 with a double, one run, and one RBI in the win. Jesse Winker added a home run and two RBIs. Ketel Marte was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double for the Diamondbacks. He scored two runs and had three RBIs, stretching his on-base streak to 14 games. Carson Kelly added a double and one run.
ON THE MOUND
Zac Gallen (8-2, 2.96 ERA) is set to get the start for Arizona. The righty is tied for third in the NL in strikeouts (100) and tied for fourth in wins.
Gallen allowed one run over seven innings in his last start, a 5-1 home win over the Guardians on Friday. He was credited with the win, yielding six hits while striking out seven.
Gallen has made one previous start against the Brewers this season, a 3-0 home victory on April 10. He allowed three hits over seven scoreless innings, striking out 11 and walking one. RHP Julio Teheran (2-2, 1.78 ERA) will take the mound for Milwaukee.
It’s his first appearance of the season against the Diamondbacks. In his last start on Friday, Teheran got the win at home against the Pirates. He threw six innings and gave up two runs on one hit, striking out four and walking one in the 5-4 victory.
