The Arizona Diamondbacks put up a massive fight against the Philadelphia Phillies, and they found a way to win three consecutive games to advance to the World Series. Now they will be looking to open up this World Series with a victory on Friday night on the road against the Texas Rangers in Arlington as they search for their first victory in a World Series game since their game seven victory of the New York Yankees back in 2001. This is a young Arizona Diamondbacks team, that is arguably performing ahead of schedule, as they were not expected to be contenders for another couple of seasons, but they now find themselves on the brink of winning a championship with only four victories keeping them from a World Series title. 

The Texas Rangers will be looking to pick up their first World Series championship ever as they take on the Arizona Diamondbacks here in game number one at home on Friday night. Texas has been solid throughout the regular season, but they have had some pockets of inconsistency and that showed during their ALCS series against the Houston Astros. After jumping out to a two games, the zero lead Texas nearly choked away, and they had to win the final two games of the series to take down the Houston Astros and advance to the World Series this season. The starting pitching matchup in this game will be Nathan Eovaldi for the Rangers and Zac Gallen for the Arizona Diamondbacks, and I think that gives Arizona the edge and that is why I have them grabbing the victory here in this one.
