Texas Rangers @ Tampa Bay Rays – 3:08PM ET

The Texas Rangers took advantage of plenty of errors from Tampa Bay in the opening game of their series on Tuesday afternoon and now Texas will be looking to win their second consecutive game of the series and send Tampa Bay home for the season. The Rangers looked fantastic in the opening game of this three game wildcard series, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here in game number two as they look too upset Tampa Bay on the road and advance to the American League Division Series against the Baltimore Orioles later on this week. Nathan Eovaldi will get the baseball for Texas here in game number two as they look to close out this series on the road in Tampa Bay.

The Tampa Bay Rays season is in danger after their forgettable performance in the opening game of this three game wildcard series. It was error after error for Tampa Bay early on in the game and it cost them game number one of the series, despite their lineup pulling their weight throughout the game, it left Tampa Bay in a hole that was too deep to dig out of. Now they will be looking to regroup here in game number two of the series with Zach Eflin on the mound on Wednesday afternoon, as they look to keep their record-setting season alive here in game number two at home. Luckily for Tampa Bay that is exactly what I expect as I look for the Rays to bounce back and pick up the victory.

Toronto Blue Jays @ Minnesota Twins – 4:38PM ET

Toronto will be looking to bounce back after their rough performance in the opening game of this series on the road in Minnesota on Tuesday afternoon. They will have their backs against the wall as they look to keep their solid season alive here on Wednesday afternoon against the American League Central division champions. If Toronto can get things going in the right direction, they are a team that has a ton of potential and a team that could compete for an American League pennant and a World Series as well. However, first they will have to put their playoff struggles behind them with a pair of victories over the next two days starting here on Wednesday afternoon on the road. 

After 19 long years, Minnesota has finally won a playoff game, and now they will be looking to replicate that performance here in game number two of the series to advance to the next round of the postseason. If Minnesota can get the job done here on Wednesday afternoon at home, waiting on them, will be the defending World Series champions, the Houston Astros in the American League Division Series. Minnesota did a great job of shutting down Toronto’s solid lineup and they will be looking to do that once more here on Wednesday afternoon as they look to sweep the Blue Jays into straight games and avoid having to play a winner take all game three on Thursday. Unfortunately for Minnesota I don’t see that happening as I have Toronto picking up the victory in this game.

Arizona Diamondbacks @ Milwaukee Brewers – 7:08PM ET

It was a solid game for the Arizona Diamondbacks as they went back-and-forth with the Milwaukee Brewers throughout the game and ended up winning the opening game of this series on Tuesday night. Now they will be looking to replicate that performance here on Wednesday night to knock out the National League Central division champions at home in a massive upset and advance to the next round of the playoffs. Arizona will have their best starting pitcher on the mound for this one, as Zac Gallen will get the baseball looking to finish off the Milwaukee Brewers here on Wednesday night on the road in Milwaukee. 

The Milwaukee Brewers will be looking to bounce back after a back-and-forth game that ended up in a loss for Milwaukee on Tuesday night against the Arizona Diamondbacks. They will have their backs against the wall as a loss would end their season early and send them home for the year, despite having home advantage throughout this three game wildcard series. Milwaukee will have to find a way to win this game and hit one of the best in the league this season and it certainly won’t be an easy task. I look for that to be their undoing, as I look for Arizona to get their second consecutive victory in this game on Wednesday night.

Miami Marlins @ Philadelphia Phillies – 8:08PM ET

The Miami Marlins will be looking to bounce back after they lost to the Philadelphia Phillies in the opening game of their series on Tuesday night. Miami now finds their backs against the wall coming into the second game of this series on Wednesday night and if they win they will force a game three on Thursday but if they lose their season will be over rather quickly. Miami will be looking to bounce back and they will have to be a lot more productive at the plate after only scoring a single run in the opening game of this series on Tuesday night in Philadelphia. They will also have to find a way to limit the damage of the Phillies lineup after they allowed Philadelphia to put up four runs in the game on Tuesday night.

Philadelphia will be looking to replicate their performance from Tuesday night as they look to officially close out this series against the Miami Marlins in only two games here on Wednesday night at home. They will have Aaron Nola getting the baseball for the second game of this series and he will be looking to shut the door on the Miami Marlins season and this series as Philadelphia looks too advanced to the National League Division Series and take one step closer to defending their National League pennant. They were pretty productive with the bat and they will be looking to replicate that here in this one after they put up four runs in the opening game of the series. That is exactly what I expect, as I look for Philadelphia to wrap up the series against Miami in only two games.
