Los Angeles Angels @ Atlanta Braves – 12:20PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Los Angeles Angels will be looking to grab a huge victory over the Atlanta Braves in the third and final game of the series on Wednesday afternoon. Los Angeles has an opportunity to take two out of three games from arguably the best team in all of Major League Baseball this season. That would give them plenty of momentum as they had into the final two months of the regular season looking to make a late season playoff push in the American League wild-card race. Lucas Giolito will be on the mound for Los Angeles in the finale of this series, and he will be looking to improve upon his disastrous first start for the team last week.

The Atlanta Braves come into this game, looking to add another victory to their already league best record. Atlanta is arguably the favorite to win the World Series at the moment as their lineup has been absolutely lethal throughout and they have plenty of starting pitching to go around. Atlanta has had plenty of fun beating up on opposing starting pitching this season, and I expect them to do that again in this game after Lucas Giolito struggled in his first start with the Los Angeles Angels. As I look for the Atlanta Braves to pick up a comfortable victory here on Wednesday afternoon at home.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

Atlanta Braves (-150)

Cleveland Guardians @ Houston Astros – 2:10PM ET

Tony Battalio

It is hard to tell what the Cleveland Guardians are trying to deal with the remainder of this regular season as they have been making plenty of trades over the last couple of days. They are within striking distance to win the American League Central division in the division is likely going to come down to the very last week or so of the regular season. They will be looking to pick up a huge victory in the finale of this series against the Houston Astros here on Wednesday afternoon to help put themselves closer to overtaking the Minnesota Twins for  first place in the division.

The Houston Astros are heating up at the moment and they will be looking to grab another victory in the finale of this series against Cleveland. They are currently in second place of the American League West division right behind the Texas Rangers and they will be looking to surpass the Texas Rangers and continue to rack up victories in this series against the Guardians. Tanner Bibee will be on the mound for this game for Cleveland and he gives the Guardians an advantage in the pitching matchup in this game. I expect Cleveland to pick up a victory in the finale of this series against Houston behind a solid performance from Tanner Bibee on the mound.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

Cleveland Guardians

Philadelphia Phillies @ Miami Marlins – 6:40PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Philadelphia Phillies have been flying below the radar this season, and they will be looking to get some momentum as they play the third game of this four-game series against the Miami Marlins on Wednesday night. Philadelphia will have Zach Wheeler on the mound for the third game of the series and he has been their best starting pitcher this season. He will be looking to deliver another quality performance in this game on Wednesday night as Philadelphia looks to hold onto one of the three wildcard spots in the National League. Wheeler comes into this game with a record of 8-5 on the season and he will be looking to pick up his ninth victory of the year.

The Miami Marlins come into the third game of the series looking to pick up a crucial victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. The Miami Marlins have struggled since coming out of the All-Star break and their once magical season is in jeopardy if they don’t get things back together soon. Miami currently sits in third place in the National League east division, and because of the success of the Atlanta Braves they are gunning for the wild card or bust for the remainder of the season. However, I expect Philadelphia to grab a victory in the third game of the series here on Wednesday evening on the road in Miami.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

Philadelphia Phillies (-135)

Baltimore Orioles @ Toronto Blue Jays – 7:07PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Baltimore Orioles have been one of the hottest teams in Major League Baseball since coming out of the All-Star break. They have moved into first place in the American League East division and they haven’t looked back since and they will be looking to grab another huge victory over the Toronto Blue Jays in the third game of the series on Wednesday night at the Rogers Centre. Baltimore has already picked up the first two victories of this series, and they will be looking to officially clinch the series with a third consecutive victory here on Wednesday night as they look to extend their lead within the American League East division over the Tampa Bay Rays and Toronto Blue Jays.

The Toronto Blue Jays will be looking to recover after losing the first two games of this series to Baltimore. They are currently in possession of one of the wild card spots in the American League, but they are well within striking distance to win the American League East division as well. They will need to improve their level of play and bounce back here on Wednesday night and pick up a huge victory over the Orioles in the third game of this four game divisional series. They will have their work cut out for them as Baltimore has been one of the hottest teams in baseball over the last couple of weeks. Which is why I don’t see it happening and I think the Orioles will grab another victory here on Wednesday night.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

Baltimore Orioles (+105)

Minnesota Twins @ St.Louis Cardinals – 7:45PM ET

Tony Battalio

Minnesota comes into the second game of the series against the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday night looking to get their season back on track. They have been struggling as of late and their lead in the American League Central division has all but disappeared at the moment, as they are only a single game ahead of the Cleveland Guardians as of Tuesday evening. Minnesota will send Joe Ryan to the mound as he looks to pick up his 10th victory of the season and help the Twins pick up a massive victory in the second game of the series as well. If they don’t turn things around quickly, they are leaving the door open for both Cleveland, and potentially Detroit to pass them up in the standings.

It has been a rough season for the St. Louis Cardinals this year, and they have virtually run out of time when it comes to turning things around. They came into the 2023 Major League Baseball season with plenty of expectations and they have been very underwhelming this season, despite playing in the second worst division in all of baseball. They will be looking to play spoiler to the Minnesota Twins playoff hopes in the second game of this three-game interleague series here on Wednesday evening at Busch Stadium. However, with  Minnesota sending Joe Ryan to the mound, I don’t see that happening as I think Minnesota will pick up a comfortable victory here on Wednesday night.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

Minnesota Twins (-140)
