Toronto Blue Jays @ Baltimore Orioles – 7:05PM ET

Tony Battalio

It has been a solid season for the Toronto Blue Jays and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling in this game against the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday night at Camden Yards. Toronto comes into this game sitting in third place in the American League East division, but they are well within striking distance of first place and grabbing some victories over Baltimore. This week would help them catch up even more. Toronto comes into this game on Tuesday night with a record of 69-56 through the first 125 games of the 2023 Major League Baseball season. They are currently on a two game winning streak, and they have picked up five victories in their last 10 games on the year.

It has been an incredible season for the Baltimore Orioles, and they are currently sitting in first place in the toughest division in all of baseball right now. They will be looking to extend their lead in the American League East division with a series opening victory over the Toronto Blue Jays here on Tuesday night at home. They have been a very tough team to beat at home this season, and that is a trend that I expect to continue here in the opening game of the series against Toronto. As I look for Baltimore to pick up their fourth consecutive victory here on Tuesday night and extend their lead in the division as well.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

Baltimore Orioles (-120)

Los Angeles Dodgers @ Cleveland Guardians – 7:10PM ET

Tony Battalio

It has been a solid season for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling when they travel halfway across the country to open up this three-game series with Cleveland. Los Angeles has been running away with the National League West division ever since coming out of the All-Star break and they will be looking to further extend their lead with a victory here on Tuesday night against a struggling Cleveland team. They have been one of the hottest teams in all of Major League Baseball as of late as they are fresh off of an 11 game winning streak earlier last week.

Cleveland will remain at home and look to bounce back from a rough showing over the weekend against their American League Central division rivals, the Detroit Tigers. Cleveland was completely outmatched as they dropped three out of four games to Detroit and I’ll find themselves even farther out of first place in the American League Central division coming into this game. Cleveland is now six games out of first place in the division, and they are falling further under .500 by the day. I don’t see it getting much better for them and this one as I have the Los Angeles Dodgers picking up the victory here on Tuesday night.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

LA Dodgers -1.5 (-125)

Boston Red Sox @ Houston Astros – 8:10PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Boston Red Sox have flown under the radar this season and they will be looking to make their presence known with a solid performance in this series against the Houston Astros. Despite having a solid winning record, Boston currently sits in the bottom half of the American League East division, and they were likely out of the division title race, but they are well within striking distance of the American League wild-card race coming into this game on Tuesday night. Boston comes into this game after dropping the opening game of the series on Monday night.

The defending World Series champions will be looking to pick up their second consecutive victory in this series, after earning a multi run victory over Boston on Monday night. With another victory here on Tuesday, Houston would officially clinch at least a split of this four-game series between themselves and the Boston Red Sox. This series could end up looming large when it comes to the American League wildcard race at the end of the regular season. As these two solid teams could potentially be separated by just a couple of games or even tied at the end of the regular season. However, unfortunately for Boston, I have Houston grabbing another victory here on Tuesday night.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

Houston Astros (-150)

Seattle Mariners @ Chicago White Sox – 8:10PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Seattle Mariners have been one of the hottest teams in all of baseball over the past couple of weeks and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling in this game against the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday night. Seattle had a sluggish start to the season, but they have gotten hot coming down the stretch, and then I’ll find themselves in a perfect position to make their second consecutive playoff appearance at the end of the year. They picked up a huge blowout victory in the opening game of the series on Monday night as they put double digit runs up on the board against Chicago’s pitching staff. They will be looking to replicate that performance here on Tuesday night and pick up a second consecutive victory over the White Sox.

It has been an awful year for the Chicago White Sox, after coming into the season with so many expectations and aspirations of competing for an American League Central division title, they have looked nowhere close to competitive this season. It makes it even worse when you realize that they have played in the worst division in all of Major League Baseball this season as well as the American League Central has been awful throughout the year. They will be looking to bounce back after being blown out at home by the Seattle Mariners in the opening game of the series on Monday night. Unfortunately for Chicago I don’t see that happening as I have Seattle picking up their second consecutive victory in the series.

Seattle Mariners

Cincinnati Reds @ Los Angeles Angels – 9:38PM ET

Tony Battalio

It’s been a roller coaster of a season for the Cincinnati Reds, and they will be looking to use this series against the Los Angeles Angels to get their season back on track. They are still well within striking distance of winning the National League Central division, and they have an inside track at winning one of the three National League wildcard spots at the moment. This game will serve as the opening game of the series after they were postponed on Monday night likely due to the effects of Hurricane Hillary that is currently hitting Southern California hard. Cincinnati comes into this game with a record of 64-61 through their first 125 games of the 2023 Major League Baseball season.

The Los Angeles Angels are having an up-and-down season as well. However, you can argue that they have more on the line then the Cincinnati Reds. They risk losing one of their superstars, and one of the greatest players of all time in Shohei Ohtani over the off-season, unless they make the postseason this year. Well, in all fairness, it is a lot less likely they lose him if they make the playoffs let’s put it that way, but it’s still a real possibility. Right now, Los Angeles is on the outside looking in at the American League wild-card race and they will desperately need to pick up some victories fast if they want to compete coming down the final stretch of the season. I do expect them to grab the victory here on Tuesday night over the Cincinnati Reds so that’s a step in the right direction.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

LA Angels (-145)
