New York Yankees @ Baltimore Orioles – 12:35PM ET

The New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles will be playing the finale of their four game series in this one. The Yankees have already clinched a share of the series win after winning games 1 and 2. In game three it was the Yankees who picked up the victory.

Tony Battalio

The New York Yankees have won the first three games of their four game series with the Baltimore Orioles. Now they will have an opportunity to complete a four game sweep in Thursday’s finale. They improved their already league leading record to 28-9 through their first 37 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. The Yankees are starting the pull away from the pack in the American League East division as they currently hold a 4.5 game lead over the second place team which is currently the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Baltimore Orioles struggles are continuing after yet another loss to the New York Yankees on Wednesday evening. They now fall to ten games under .500 and 14.5 games back of first place in the American League East division as they sit in last place. They will come into this series finale with a record of 14-24 through their first 38 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. As for the result of this game I am going with the New York Yankees to complete the sweep of the series.

Tony’s MLB Pick: New York Yankees (-210)

Jeffery Thomas

The New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles will conclude their long four-game series on Thursday and New York has a sweep on their minds. The Yankees have now taken the first three games of this series after winning the pitching duel on Wednesay between Gerrit Cole and Jordan Lyles 3-2. The Yankees are now 28-9 and that record is tied for rhr second-best start to a season since 1948, trailing just the 1984 Detroit Tigers who were 32-5. In the series finale the Orioles will be giving the start to Bruce Zimmerman who has some interesting trends attached to him.

Dating back to last season, the Os have won seven straight home games started by Zimmerman. Three of those starts have occurred this season with one being against these Yankees on April 17. Hr tossed 5 shutout innings in that one but that game occurred before New York had hit their stride. They are a much better and more cohesive team now and I see them completing this sweep of their division rival.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: New York Yankees (-210)

Marko Nadin

The Baltimore Orioles are at the bottom of the AL East with a 14-24 record. They have lost the last 6 games, a series sweep against the Detroit Tigers and the first three games of the series against the Yankees. Baltimore is second to last in the league scoring 3.32 runs per game and 20th allowing 4.32 runs per game. Bruce Zimmermann will start for the Orioles tonight who is 2-2 for the season with a 2.72 ERA. Baltimore has won 5 of the last 7 games against a left-handed starting pitcher.

The New York Yankees are on top of the AL East with a 28-9 record. They have won 9 of the last 10 games with the only loss being to the Chicago White Sox in that span. The Yankees are on top of the league allowing only 2.87 runs per game and are ranked 5th scoring 4.91 runs per game. They will start Jordan Montgomery tonight who is 0-1 for the season with a 3.06 ERA. The Yankees have won 8 of the last 10 games as road favorite and 11 of the last 14 games against a left-handed starting pitcher.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Baltimore Orioles (+176)

St.Louis Cardinals @ New York Mets – 1:10PM ET

The New York Mets and St.Louis Cardinals will be playing the finale of their four game series in this one. In game number one of the doubleheader Tuesday the Mets got the win, but in game two the Cardinals bounced back to win and even the series. In game three it was the Mets who picked up the victory.

Tony Battalio

The Mets officially clinched a share of the series with their huge seven run blowout win on Wednesday evening. Max Scherzer pretty much dominated the Cardinals as he went five and two thirds innings giving up only a single Earned Run and added four strikeouts on the way to his fifth win of the season. They now improve their record on the season to 25-14 through their first 39 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season.

The St.Louis Cardinals come into this one looking to grab at least a share of the series after they lost on Wednesday night and once in Tuesday’s doubleheader. The Cardinals will be happy to not have to face Max Scherzer once again this season as he shut them down on Wednesday. They now come into this game with a record of 20-17 through their first 37 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. As for the result of this series finale I am going with the New York Mets to grab the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: New York Mets (-152)

Jeffery Thomas

The series finale is set between the New York Mets and St.Louis Cardinals after the Mets’ 11-4 win on Wednesday. It was Max Scherzer day so the win was always expected for the home Mets who have only lost once of his eight starts this year. The offense was buzzing despite only hitting one home run, which was a three-run shot by Pete Alonso in the 8th inning.

New York will once again have the pitching advantage on Thursday with Chris Bassitt set to take the bump. He’s one of the most underrated pitchers in the league and has given up 1 or fewer runs in 5/7 starts this season. I don’t think the Cardinals will do much offensively in this one and that will be the defending factor, giving the Mets the win to secure this series ahead of the weekend.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: New York Mets (-152)

Marko Nadin

The New York Mets are on top of the NL East with a 25-14 record. They have 3 of the last 5 games including 2 of the 3 games so far in the series against the Cardinals. The Mets are 10th in the league scoring 4.59 runs per game and 4th allowing 3.48 runs per game. Chris Bassitt will be the starting pitcher for the Mets tonight who is 4-2 for the season with a 2.34 ERA. The Mets have won 13 of the last 16 home games against a right-handed starting pitcher and 9 of the last 12 games against a team with a winning record.

The St.Louis Cardinals are second in the NL Central with a 20-17 record. They have won 3 of the last 5 games but are coming off an 11-4 loss to the Mets last night. The Cardinals are 9th in the league with 4.61 runs per game and 7th in the league with 3.81 runs per game. Dakota Hudson will start tonight for the Cards who is 3-2 on the season with a 3.06 ERA. St.Louis has won 22 of the last 30 after allowing 5 runs or more in their previous game and has lost 7 of the last 10 when their opponent scores 5 runs or more in their previous game.

Marko’s MLB Pick: St.Louis Cardinals (+128)

Seattle Mariners @ Boston Red Sox – 7:10PM ET

The Seattle Mariners and Boston Red Sox will be playing the first game of their four game weekend series in this one. As Seattle is coming off of a series with the Toronto Blue Jays and Boston is coming off of a series with the Houston Astros.

Tony Battalio

The Seattle Mariners and Boston Red Sox will both come into this four game weekend series looking to win and gain some much needed momentum. As both franchises are having some rough starts to the 2022 Major League Baseball season so far. In the eyes of the Red Sox fans it is disappointing as they were expected to be much more competitive. As Boston comes into this game with a record of 15-22 through their first 37 games of the season.

As for the Seattle Mariners their fan base may be a bit more forgiving as this is a young team with loads of potential who are certain to have some bumps in the road along the way. Seattle comes into this game with a record of 17-21 through their first 38 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. As for the result of this game I am going with the Seattle Mariners to get the win over the Boston Red Sox in this one.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Seattle Mariners (+108)

Jeffery Thomas

The Boston Red Sox and Seattle Mariners both wrapped up series on Wednesday and now will come together in Bean Town for start up a series that will last throughout the weekend. The Mariners got a 5-1 win in the finale on Wednesday against the Toronto Blue Jays to avoid being swept for just the second time this season. Boston won their game on Wednesay by the same score of 5-1 against the Houston Astros to win that series despite being outscored by Houston in the three games.

It’s been a rough start to the year for both of these teams but it’s still early and with the talent on both rosters it’s hard to rule them out just yet. The Red Sox will be starting Rich Hall in the series opener and ever since two bad starts to begin the year he has been lights out. Hill has only given up 2 earned runs in his last four starts and when a guy is in a zone like that you don’t bet against him.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Boston Red Sox (-126)

Marko Nadin

The Boston Red Sox are fourth in the AL East with a 15-22 record. They have won 4 of the last 6 games and are coming off a 2-1 series win against the Houston Astros. The Red Sox are 22nd in the league scoring 3.85 runs per game and are ranked 16th in the league allowing 4.23 runs per game. Rich Hill will start for the Red Sox tonight who is 1-1 for the season with a 2.89 ERA. Boston has won 5 of the last 6 when their opponent scores 5 runs or more in their previous game and 22 of the last 30 games against a team with a losing record.

The Seattle Mariners are fourth in the AL Central with a 17-21 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games but are coming off a 5-1 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. Seattle is 21st in the league scoring 3.96 runs per game and 18th allowing 4.26 runs per game. They will start Geroge Kirby tonight who has a 0.90 ERA for the season. The Mariners have won 11 of the last 15 road games against teams with a losing record bot have lost 10 of the last 14 road games overall.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Boston Red Sox (-126)

Arizona Diamondbacks @ Chicago Cubs – 7:40PM ET

The Arizona Diamondbacks and Chicago Cubs will be playing the first game of their four game weekend series in this one. As Arizona is coming off of a series with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago is coming off of a series with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Tony Battalio

The Arizona Diamondbacks are having a rough start to the 2022 Major League Baseball season. As they come into this game with a record of 18-21 through their first 39 games of the year. They will be looking to get a win in this series opening game against the Chicago Cubs to generate some momentum heading into the weekend. They are currently in last place of the National League West division as they have lost their last six games in a row.

The Chicago Cubs are also having a rough start to the year. As they come into this game with a record of 15-21 through their first 36 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are in fourth place of the National League Central division at the moment as they are 6-4 in their last ten games and currently on a one game losing streak. As for the result on this one however, I am going with the Cubs to snap that streak and get the victory.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Chicago Cubs (-110)

Jeffery Thomas

The Arizona Diamondbacks and Chicago Cubs will play their second series against each other in under a week starting on Thursday. The last one was won by Chicago who took two of three, with every game being deceived by 2 or fewer runs. In between that series Arizona made a trip to Los Angeles to take on the Dodgers and it didn’t go so well. They were swept in four games, and it was surprisingly their first time being swept all season.

The Cubs were also in a divisional battle with the Pirates, taking two of three to move their record to just 15-21. Arizona will be starting their ace Zac Gallen on Thursday in this opener and when that happens you can count the Diamondbacks in for being competitive that game. In fact, he’s given up no runs in half his starts this year. He gave up one run in 6 innings of work last time out against the Cubs and I think he replicated that performance here and leads his team to a much needed victory to get them out of this bad run of games.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Arizona Diamondbacks (-106)

Marko Nadin

The Chicago Cubs are fourth in the NL Central with a 15-21 record. They were on a four-game winning streak before losing 3-2 to the Pittsburgh Pirates in the last one .The Cubs are 17th in the league with 4.26 scored runs per game and 15th in the league with 4.14 runs per game. The Cubs will start Marcus Stroman who is 1-3 for the season with a 5.13 ERA. Chicago has lost 39 of the last 56 games as a home underdog, 16 of the last 23 games against a right-handed pitcher and 6 of the last 8 opening games of a series.

The Arizona Diamondbacks are at the bottom of the NL West with a 18-21 record. They have the last six games and are coming off a 4-0 series sweep against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Diamondbacks are ninth in the league hitting 1.08 home runs per game and 22nd allowing 4.41 runs per game. They will start Zac Gallen who is 2-0 for the season with a 1.05 ERA. Arizona has lost 17 of the last 35 road games against a team with a losing record and 6 of the last 7 games as a road favorite.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Chicago Cubs (-110)

Texas Rangers @ Houston Astros – 8:10PM ET

The Texas Rangers and Houston Astros will be playing the first game of their four game weekend series in this one. As Texas is coming off of a series with the Los Angeles Angels and Houston is coming off of a series with the Boston Red Sox.

Tony Battalio

The Texas Rangers had a rough start to the year but as the season progresses they are starting to inch closer to the .500 mark. As they come into this game with a record of 17-19 through their first 36 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are currently in the middle of the pack of the American League West division at the moment as they are six games out of first place. They have won their last four games in a row and are 6-4 in their last ten games of the season.

The Houston Astros are off to a fast start this season as they come into this game ten games above the .500 mark. They currently have a record of 24-14 through their first 38 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are in first place of the American League West division as they hold a one game lead over the Los Angeles Angels. They are 7-3 in their last ten games. As for the result of this one I have the Houston Astros breaking their one game losing streak and getting the victory in this one.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Houston Astros (-205)

Jeffery Thomas

The Houston Astros will welcome in the AL West counterpart Texas Rangers on Thursday to begin a four-game series. Houston is coming off a series loss to the Boston Red Sox which was the first series they lost since the Blue Jays took two of three from them back on 4/28-5/1. The Rangers on the other hand are coming off a series win over the LA  Angels who are battling the Astros for first place in the AL West. Texas is under .500 on the year but for some reason they have fared very well against the Astros and Angels.

In a series earlier this season the Rangers took three of four and now will look to replicate that success here. However, I don’t see that happening with them handing the ball over to Glenn Otto who has a 1-1 record and 6.38 ERA. In his last start he couldn’t make it out of the 5th inning, giving up eight earned runs and his one win on the year is against the Oakland As who have one of the worst offenses in baseball. It’s not a good matchup and I see the Astros having a field day on offense in a blowout victory.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Houston Astros -1.5 (+104)

Marko Nadin

The Houston Astros are on top of the AL West with a 24-14 record. They were on an 11-games winning streak be wwfore dropping 3 of the last 5 games. The Astros are leading the league with 1.57 home runs per game and are ranked 11th scoring 4.52 runs per game and third allowing 3.39 runs per game. Houston will start Framber Valdez tonight who is 2-2 for the season with a 2.93 ERA. Houston has won the last 6 games against AL West opponents and 17 of the last 21 games on grass.

The Texas Rangers are third in the AL West with a 17-19 record. They have won the last 4 games and are coming off a 3-0 series sweep against the Los Angeles Angels. The Rangers are 8th in the league hitting 1.10 home runs per game and 14th in the league scoring 4.33 runs per game. They will start Glenn Otto tonight who is 1-1 for the season with a 6.38 ERA. Texas has won 5 of the last 6 after scoring 5 runs or more in their previous game and 4 of the last 5 games against teams with a winning record.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Houston Astros (-205)
