Colorado Rockies @ San Francisco Giants – 3:45PM ET

The Colorado Rockies and San Francisco Giants will be playing the third game of this four game series. In game one it was the Rockies who came out on top. While the San Francisco Giants bounced back with a win in game two.

Tony Battalio

The Colorado Rockies will be looking to bounce back here in game three of this four game weekday series. They got the victory in game one and unfortunately they took a close loss to the Giants in game two. They had a fast start to the 2022 Major League Baseball season but it quickly went downhill as they now find themselves in last place of the National League Central division. They come into this game with a record of 24-32 through their first 56 games of the season.

The San Francisco Giants are having a decent start to the 2022 Major League Baseball season. As they come into this game with a record of 30-25 through their first 55 games of the season and are currently in third place of the National League West division. They have won six out of their last ten games on the season and are currently on a one game winning streak. As for the result of this game I am going with the San Francisco Giants to get the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: San Francisco Giants (-250)

Jeffery Thomas

The Colorado Rockies and San Francisco Giants will wrap up their three-game series in the Bay on Thursday. The Rockies are the bottom dwellers of the NL West while the Giants are holding down the third place spot at 29-25 going into Wednesday’s action. Both teams are performing below expectations to start the year off and it’s leading to the Padres and Dodgers just running away with the division. The Giants still have a fighting chance and with all the talent they have, you can’t write them off at any point as a run to get them back in the race can come at any point.

The road struggles from last season for Colorado have continued into the 2022 year and with Austin Gomber pitching this finale it’s likely they will still be a problem on Thursday. Gomber has lost his last three outings, and given up a combined 17 runs in his last 6.1 innings pitched so the Giants are kicking their chops for this matchup. Give me the home team here to blow the doors off this struggling team and pitcher.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: San Francisco Giants -1.5 (-125)

Marko Nadin

The San Francisco Giants are third in the NL West with a 30-25 record. They have won 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 2-1 10th inning win over the Rockies last night. The Giants are the third-best offensive team in the league scoring 5.18 runs per game and are ranked 22nd in the league allowing 4.65 runs per game. They will start Logan Webb tonight who is 5-1 for the season with a 3.82 ERA. San Francisco has the last 4 games against left-handed starters and 45 of the last 63 home games against teams with a losing record.

The Colorado Rockies are at the bottom of the NL West with a 24-32 record. They have lost 5 of the last 6 games and have split the first two games of the series against the Giants. Colorado is 8th in the league scoring 4.78 runs per game and is ranked the last in the league allowing 5.91 runs per game. The Rockies will start Austin Gomber tonight who is 2.6 for the season with a 6.54 ERA. Colorado has lost 77 of the last 11 road games and 65 of the last 95 road games against teams with a winning record.

Marko’s MLB Pick: San Francisco Giants (-250)

Washington Nationals @ Miami Marlins – 6:40PM ET

The Washington Nationals and Miami Marlins will be playing the third and final game of their three game series in this one. The Miami Marlins have won game one and two of this series and now they will be going for the sweep in this one.

Tony Battalio

The Washington Nationals are in a bad spot at the moment. They have already lost the first two games of this series with the Miami Marlins. They come into this game with a record of 21-37 through their first 58 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have lost their last two games in a row on the year and they have won only four of their last ten games on the year.

The Miami Marlins have been dominating the Washington Nationals so far this series. However, they are still having a rough season as they come into this game with a record of 24-30 through their first 54 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have won two games in a row and have won five out of their last ten games on the season. As for the result of this game I am going with the Miami Marlins to pick up the victory and complete the sweep.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Miami Marlins (-134)

Jeffery Thomas

They needed extra innings but the Miami Marlins made it two straight wins over the Washington Nationals on Wednesday with the 2-1 victory. In fact, Miami is now 7-1 on the year against their division rival and will hope to improve on that record even more on Thursday. Through the first two games of this series Washington has only mustered up 3 total runs after averaging over 7 in the previous series.

A lot of question marks surround this game as Stephen Strausburg is set to make his season debut for the Nats but it’s hard to expect him to just come back and be in tip-top form. The Marlins have dominated this head-to-head all season and I expect that trend to continue as they finish off this sweep.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Miami Marlins (-134)

Marko Nadin

The Miami Marlins are fourth in the NL East with a 24-30 record. They have won 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off back-to-back wins over the Nationals in the first two games of the series. Miami is ranked 12th in the league scoring 4.52 runs per game and 15th in the league allowing 4.18 runs per game. Trevor Rogers will start for the Marlins tonight who is 2-5 for the season with a 5.80 ERA. Miami has won the last 5 home games and 7 of the last 8 games against teams with a losing record under 40%.

The Washington Nationals are at the bottom of the NL East with a 21-37 record. They have lost the last two games against Miami after winning three straight games over the Cincinnati Reds. The Nationals are 23th in the league scoring 4.14 runs per game and 29th in the league allowing 5.71 runs per game. Washington will start Stephen Strasburgh who will make his season debut tonight. The Nats have won 7 of the last 10 games against teams with a losing record and have lost 10 of the last 24 third games of a series.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Miami Marlins (-134)

New York Yankees @ Minnesota Twins – 7:40PM ET

The New York Yankees and Minnesota Twins will be playing the third and final game of their three game series in this one. Both teams have won one game a piece coming into this game and now it will be a winner takes all finale.

Tony Battalio

The New York Yankees have been one of the hottest teams all season long. So has Nestor Cortes who has been on fire this season and was the starter on the mound on Wednesday evening. They finally got to him on Wednesday as he gave up seven hits and four runs and picked up only his second loss of the season. The loss drops the Yankees record on the year down to 40-16 through their first 56 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season.

The Minnesota Twins are coming into this game having an excellent start to the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They come into this game with a record of 33-25 through their first 58 games of the year. They are in first place of the American League Central division at the moment as they hold a decent lead over the Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Guardians. As for the result of this game I am going with the New York Yankees to get the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: New York Yankees (-205)

Jeffery Thomas

The New York Yankees had their seven-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday at the hands of the Minnesota Twins and now they’ll just focus on winning the finale and securing the series. It was the first loss in June for the first place Yankees who still are the only team to reach the 40 win mark so far. The Twins are also in first place in their division (AL Central) and will hope to keep their offensive momentum from Wednesday going into the series finale.

That’s a tall ask against Gerrit Coke and with Dylan Bundy opposing him for the Twins, this is one of the biggest pitching mismatches on the slate. The Yankees should have no problems bouncing back and getting back in the win column here.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: New York Yankees (-205)

Marko Nadin

The Minnesota Twins are on top of AL Central with a 33-25 record. They have won 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 8-1 win over the New York Yankees last night. The Twins are 14th in the league scoring 4.50 runs per game and are ranked 7th allowing 4.01 runs per game. Minnesota will start Dylan Bundy who is 3-3 for the season with a 5.57 ERA for the season. The Twins have won 11 of the last 16 games after allowing 2 runs or less in their previous game and have lost 5 of the last 6 games as home underdog.

The New York Yankees are on top of the AL East with a 40-16 record. Last night’s loss to the Twins put an end to their seven-game winning streak. The Yankees are 7th in the league scoring 4.82 runs per game and are ranked the best in the league allowing 3.01 runs per game. The Yankees will start Gerrit Cole tonight who is 5-1 for the season with a 2.78 ERA. They have won 10 of the last 12 games against a right-handed starter and 4 of the last 5 games against teams with a winning record.

Marko’s MLB Pick: New York Yankees (-205)

Baltimore Orioles @ Kansas City Royals – 8:10PM ET

The Baltimore Orioles and Kansas City Royals will be playing the first game of their four game weekend series in this one. Both teams were in action Thursday as Baltimore played the Cubs and Kansas City played the Blue Jays.

Tony Battalio

The Baltimore Orioles are coming off of a series with the Chicago Cubs. They were originally supposed to play two games but game two was rained out, so the Baltimore Orioles technically got the sweep in what was a one game series. The Orioles are coming into this game with a record of 24-33 through their first 57 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are currently in last place of the American League East division and are on a one game winning streak at the moment.

The Kansas City Royals are having a rough season as well and they come into this game in last place of the American League Central division. They come into this game with a record of 18-37 through their first 56 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have won only two out of their last ten games on the season and are currently on a one game winning streak. As for the result of this game I am going with the Baltimore Orioles to pick up the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Baltimore Orioles (-104)

Jeffery Thomas

The Baltimore Orioles and Kansas City Royals will start up a four game series on Thursday in Kansas City. The Orioles had their game with the Cubs rained out on Wednesday so they will be extra rested for this game. Meanwhile, the Royals were playing their series finale with the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday, a game that they won 8-4. That victory salvaged a sweep and halted their three-game losing streak.

I don’t like Kansas City’s chances of winning again in this game though, as they will be sending out Kris Bubic and his 0-3 record and 9.33 ERA. He’s been one of the worst starting pitchers in the league and getting to fade him in a game priced as a pick ‘em is too good to pass up.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Baltimore Orioles (-104)

Marko Nadin

The Kansas City Royals are on the bottom of the AL Central with a 18-37 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 8-4 win over the Toronto Blue Jays last night. Kansas City is ranked 26th in the league scoring only 3.79 runs per game and 27th allowing 5.51 runs per game. The Royals will start Kris Bubic tonight who is 0-3 for the season with a 9.33 ERA. Kansas City has lost 76 of the last 109 games against teams from the AL East and 12 of the last 17 games against right-handed starter.

The Baltimore Orioles are at the bottom of the AL East with a 24-33 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games but are coming off a 9-3 win last night over the Chicago Cubs. The Orioles are 24th in the league scoring 3.97 runs per game and are ranked 20th in the league allowing 4.58 runs per game. Baltimore will start Jordan Lyles tonight who is 3-4 for the season with a 4.50 ERA. The Orioles have lost 63 of the last 92 games against teams from the AL Central and 68 of the last 91 road games.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Baltimore Orioles (-104)

Boston Red Sox @ Los Angeles Angels – 9:38PM ET

The Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Angels will be playing the third and final game of their three game series in this one. The Boston Red Sox have won the first three games of this series and will be looking to complete the sweep in this one.

Tony Battalio

The Boston Red Sox just continue to add to the Los Angeles Angels misery. They have won game one, game two, and game three of this series and now will be looking for the four game sweep on Thursday evening. They come into this game with a record of 30-27 through their first 57 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are currently in fourth place in the American League East division. They have won eight of their last ten games and are currently on a seven game winning streak.

The Los Angeles Angels just can’t seem to get a win at the moment. They have now lost a franchise record 14 games in a row but somehow still remain in second place of the American League West division. They come into this game with a record of 27-31 through their first 58 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. Their fast start to the season has quickly disappeared and now they will have to get it together quickly. However, as for the result of this game I am going with the Boston Red Sox getting the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Boston Red Sox (+110)

Jeffery Thomas

The Boston Red Sox are one of the hottest teams to start the month of June and just so happen to be playing one of the coldest teams. The Los Angeles Angels just recently fired manager Joe Madden and have now lost 13 straight games entering Wednesday’s contest. There’s something to be said about a losing streak just getting into a team’s head and that is exactly where the Angels are right now.

They have a boatload of talent but for years just have not found a way to turn that talent into wins or postseason success. It’s a sad state for their franchise right now and I can’t back them anytime soon until I see frantic improvement, and I definitely can’t back them against this Red Sox team that just can’t seem to lose at the moment.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Boston Red Sox (+110)

Marko Nadin

The Los Angeles Angels are second in the AL West with a 27-31 record. They have lost the last 14 games and are coming off a 1-0 loss to the Boston red Sox. The Angels are 13th in the league scoring 4.51 runs per game and 18th in the league allowing 4.35 runs per game. The Angels will start Shohei Ohtani tonight who is 3-4 for the season with a 3.99 ERA. The Angels have won 7 of the last 9 third games of a series and have lost 12 of the last 14 games against right-handed pitcher.

The Boston Red Sox are fourth in the AL East with a 29-27 record. They have won the last 7 games including the first three of the series against the Los Angeles Angels. The Red Sox are 6th in the league scoring 4.83 runs per game and are ranked 13th in the league allowing 4.11 runs per game. Boston will start Nick Pivetta tonight who is 5-4 for the season with a 3.50 ERA. The Red Sox have won the last 5 games against a right-handed starter and 5 of the last 6 as underdogs.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Los Angeles Angels (-130)
