Toronto Blue Jays @ Cincinnati Reds – 6:40PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Toronto Blue Jays will be looking to bounce back after losing the opening game of the series against the Cincinnati Reds and walk off fashion on Friday night. Toronto has been very consistent this season, so it is no surprise that they are favored in the second game of the series, and that people expect them to pick up a victory to even up the series as well. Toronto will need to be a lot more productive at the plate after they failed to score a run in the opening game of the series on Friday night. Chris Bassitt will be on the mound for the Toronto Blue Jays in this one which gives them an advantage in the pitching matchup here on Saturday evening in Cincinnati.

The Cincinnati Reds will be looking to pick up their second consecutive victory over the Toronto Blue Jays here on Saturday evening at home. They picked up a solid walk off victory to open up this series on Friday night but they will have to be a lot more productive at the plate in the second game as the likelihood of holding the Blue Jays lineup scoreless for two consecutive games is very low. Cincinnati has been having a roller coaster type of season and they will be looking to grab another victory to gain ground on the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Central division, as they are a handful games out of first place at the moment. Unfortunately for Cincinnati, I don’t see them grabbing the victory in this game as I have Toronto picking up the win to even up this series.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

Toronto Blue Jays (-145)

Detroit Tigers @ Cleveland Guardians – 7:10PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Detroit Tigers were able to force a split out of the Cleveland Guardians in their doubleheader on Friday night. Now Detroit will be looking to pick up their second victory over Cleveland during the series here on Saturday evening as they look to secure at least a split of this four-game series. It has been a long season for the Detroit Tigers but somehow they are still somewhat within striking distance to win the American League Central division, but they will certainly have to get hot coming down the final stretch of the season. They come into this game with a record of 55-67 through the first 122 games of the 2023 Major League Baseball season.

After a rough start to their doubleheader on Friday night where they lost to the Detroit Tigers, Cleveland bounced back in a big way in game number two. After trailing for the majority of the game, Cleveland struck in the bottom of the eighth inning to put four runs on the board and they never looked back. Now they will be looking to pick up their second consecutive victory in this series on Saturday evening at home with arguably their best starting pitcher right now taking the mound. As Tanner Bibee will get the baseball here on Saturdays and I expect him to pitch Cleveland to a much-needed victory in the third game of the series.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

Cleveland Guardians (-165)

San Francisco Giants @ Atlanta Braves – 7:20PM ET

Tony Battalio

The San Francisco Giants had a hard time doing anything at the plate in the opening game of their series against the Atlanta Braves on Friday night. Now they come in the game number two looking to even up this series here with a victory on Saturday night at Atlanta. However, they will have to be a lot more productive at the plate if they want to get the job done here on Saturday night and continue their solid run of play, as they look to hold onto one of the three wild card spots in the National League. They only managed to get two hits against the Atlanta Braves in the opening game of this series and against a team like Atlanta that is certainly not going to cut it.

The Atlanta Braves looked fantastic in the opening game of this series against the San Francisco Giants. They will be looking to replicate that performance here on Saturday evening as they look to officially clinch the series before heading into Sunday’s finale with a potential opportunity to sweep San Francisco if they pick up a victory here tonight. Atlanta has been one of the best teams in all of baseball this season and I don’t see them. Slowing down anytime soon. As I look for the Atlanta Braves and pick up a second consecutive victory in this series on Saturday night over the San Francisco Giants at home.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

Atlanta Braves (-120)

Baltimore Orioles @ Oakland Athletics – 9:07PM ET

Tony Battalio

In typical Baltimore fashion, they continue the trend of jumping all over teams early on in games this season. As they jumped out to an early lead against the Oakland Athletics to help propel themselves to a series opening victory on Friday night. Now they will be looking to replicate that performance on Saturday evening and officially clinch the series out on the West Coast against the Oakland Athletics. Baltimore has been one of the best teams in the American League and they have done it with a combination of timely hitting and fantastic starting pitching this season. I don’t see that changing anytime soon, as I look for them to have another quality performance in this game against Oakland on Saturday night.

Another theme that has been recurring this season is the Oakland Athletics getting behind in baseball games early on. The only difference between them and now is that Oakland actually put up a little bit of a fight in this game and tried to claw their way back into the game. Unfortunately for the Oakland Athletics, they just didn’t have enough offensive firepower to keep up with the Baltimore Orioles in this one. I expect a similar situation here and Saturday evening’s game as I look for the Baltimore Orioles to pick up a comfortable victory over the Oakland Athletics here on Saturday night.

Miami Marlins @ Los Angeles Dodgers – 9:10PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Miami Marlins jumped all over the Los Angeles Dodgers in the opening game of their series on Friday night. As they put 10 runs on the board within the first four innings of the game, and they never looked back as they cruised to a much-needed victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers to open up the series. Jorge Solar hit a pair of homeruns to lead the charge and now Miami will be looking to pick up their second consecutive victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers here on Saturday night and officially clinch the series as well. Miami comes into this game with a record of 63-59 through their first 122 games of the 2023 Major League Baseball season.

The Los Angeles Dodgers will be looking to bounce back in the second game of the series after losing the opening game of the series by several runs. Los Angeles looked completely lost in the opening game of the series as they could not keep Miami off of the scoreboard early on in the game. This has been a rare loss for the Los Angeles Dodgers as they were previously on an 11 game winning streak prior to opening up this series on Friday night against Miami. I expect them to bounce back here in Game number two on Saturday and even up the series for heading into Sunday’s finale.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

LA Dodgers
