Minnesota Twins @ New York Yankees – 1:05PM ET

The Minnesota Twins have won the first two games of this series to clinch a share of the series heading into game three on Saturday afternoon. Now they will be looking to take the third of three games and clinch the series victory and give themselves the opportunity to sweep the New York Yankees in this four game weekend series. Minnesota comes into this one red hot and they continue to maintain their early lead in the American League Central division heading into the weekend. Taking the mound for them in the third game of this series will be Trevor Mahle, as he searches for his second victory of the season. 

The New York Yankees will be looking to bounce back after their second consecutive loss to the Minnesota Twins. Now they head into the weekend down in the series two games to zero and will be looking to avoid losing the series with a victory here on Saturday afternoon. The Yankees have now lost their last two in a row and lost all the momentum after taking the series and two out of three from the Cleveland Guardians earlier in the week. Taking the mound for the Cleveland Guardians in this one Domingo German, who will be looking for his first victory of the season. However, I don’t see it happening as I have the Twins getting the win. 

San Francisco Giants @ Detroit Tigers – 1:10PM ET

The San Francisco Giants come into this game after a thrilling extra innings game with the Detroit Tigers on Friday evening. Unfortunately they would end up losing the game in eleven innings and now will be looking to bounce back in this game on Saturday to even up the series. They have had a rough start to the season as they have only managed to win five out of their first thirteen games of the season. Anthony DeSclafani will be on the mound for the San Francisco Giants in the second game of this series as he searches for his second victory of the season. 

The Detroit Tigers will be looking to grab their consecutive victory of this series and clinch the series as well here on Saturday afternoon. It was a much needed victory for the Tigers who have been struggling so far this season. Now they come into the second game of this series with a record of 4-9 through their first thirteen games of the 2023 Major League Baseball season. Detroit has now won two games in a row and four out of their last ten coming into this one as well. However, I don’t see them getting the win in this one against the San Francisco Giants with DeSclafani on the mound. 

Baltimore Orioles @ Chicago White Sox – 2:10PM ET

The Baltimore Orioles had a solid game against the Chicago White Sox on Friday as they used a huge come from behind performance to grab some momentum heading into the second game of the series on Saturday. Now they will be looking to clinch the series with another victory in game number two of the series and set up the opportunity to sweep the Chicago White Sox in Sunday’s finale. With the victory, the Orioles picked up their second consecutive win of the year. As well as moved to games above 500 with their eighth victory in their first 14 games of the season. Kyle Gibson takes the mound for Baltimore in this one searching for his fourth one of the year.

The Chicago White Sox will be looking to bounce back after their loss in the first game of the series on Friday evening. They had a huge opportunity to grab a victory, but they gave away a 3 to 0 lead late in the game. Now they will be looking to avoid a series lost and even up the series in the process heading into Sunday’s finale. Their loss on Friday was their third consecutive losses on the year and they have now dropped off for games under .500 as their dreadful start to the season continues. I don’t see it getting much better than this one as I think Baltimore takes the second game of the series as well.

Tampa Bay Rays @ Toronto Blue Jays – 3:07PM ET

The Tampa Bay Rays lengthy winning streak finally came to an end on Friday night when they were bested by their American League East divisional rivals. Now they will be looking to bounce back in the second game of this three-game weekend series against the Toronto Blue Jays, and even up the series before heading into Sunday’s finale. Tampa Bay looked absolutely out classed as Toronto put on an offensive clinic on Friday evening. Unfortunately for Tampa Bay, they were unable to respond which has been rare this season as they have been one of the best offenses in all of baseball early on in the year. 

The Toronto Blue Jays finally handed Tampa Bay their first loss of the season on Friday night. Now Toronto will be looking to pick up their second consecutive victory over Tampa Bay and clinch the series here on Saturday afternoon. Toronto comes into this game on a one game winning streak, and they have picked up eight victories in their last 10 games of the season. They are currently for games above the .500 mark, as they have picked up nine wins in their first 14 games of the year. However, I think their joy will be short-lived as I think Tampa Bay evens up the series here on Saturday.

Cleveland Guardians @ Washington Nationals – 4:05PM ET

The Cleveland Guardians came from behind to take the victory in the first game of the series against the Washington Nationals on Friday night. Now they will be looking to make it two consecutive victories over Washington and clinch the series before heading into Sunday’s finale with the opportunity to get a three-game weekend series sweep. It was a much needed victory for Cleveland as they snapped a two game losing streak and got back on track. It will be another huge momentum boost for them. If they can grab another win here on Saturday and wrap up the series with one game left to play.

The Washington Nationals had a golden opportunity to get a victory over a potential American league playoff team here on Friday. However, they squandered a late three to nothing lead, and ended up losing to the Cleveland Guardians by a score of 4-3. Now Washington will be looking to regroup and even up the series with a victory on Saturday, but it certainly won’t be easy after their let down defeat on Friday. It’ll be Zach Plesac versus Chad Kuhl in this one, and both of them have  really high earned run averages at the moment. That is why I think the Cleveland Guardians will win this one in a high scoring game.
