They are currently in fourth place of the American League West division as they are all but officially eliminated from playoff contention. 

The Miami Marlins are coming into this game in the same boat as the Texas Rangers. They are coming into this game with a record of 57-82 through their first 139 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are currently in fourth place of the National League East division and are officially eliminated from winning the National League East divisional title. 

Los Angeles Angels @ Cleveland Guardians – 6:10PM ET

The Los Angeles Angels and Cleveland Guardians will be playing the first game of their series in this game on Monday evening. These two teams have met once already this season and the Los Angeles Angels swept the Guardians in a four game series.

The Los Angeles Angels have already beaten the Cleveland Guardians four times this season and they will be looking to add another victory here on Monday evening. The Los Angeles Angels are coming into this game with a record of 61-79 through their first 140 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have officially been eliminated from playoff contention as far as the American League West division is concerned. 

The Cleveland Guardians are the youngest team in Major League Baseball but they don’t look like it as they are making a late season playoff push. They are currently in control of first place in the American League Central division as they currently lead the Chicago White Sox by 2 1/2 games with around three weeks to go in the regular season. The Guardians are coming off of a massive sweep of the Minnesota Twins over the weeekend and now they will be looking to carry that momentum into this game with the Los Angeles Angels. 

Pittsburgh Pirates @ Cincinnati Reds – 6:40PM ET

The Pittsburgh Pirates and Cincinnati Reds will be playing the first game of their series in this game on Monday evening. These two National League Central teams have met twelve times already this season and the Cincinnati Reds lead the season series seven games to five.

The Pittsburgh Pirates are coming into this game with a record of 51-88 through their first 139 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have been one of the worst teams in all of Major League Baseball this season all year long and for the last few decades in fact. They are coming into this game already officially eliminated from playoff contention this season. 

The Cincinnati Reds are coming into this game in the same boat as the Pittsburgh Pirates this season as both teams have been absolutely terrible this year. The Reds are coming into this game with a record of 56-82 through their first 138 games off the 2022 Major League Baseball season. The Reds are already officially eliminated from playoff contention this season and they will once again be finding themselves sitting at home with an extended offseason. 

Los Angeles Dodgers @ Arizona Diamondbacks – 9:40PM ET

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks will be playing the first game of their series in this game on Monday evening. These two National League West teams have met eleven times already this season and the Los Angeles Dodgers lead the season series nine games to two.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been one of the better teams in all of major league baseball so far this season. In my opinion they are the current favorites from the national league to win the World Series. As they come into this game with a record of 96-43 through their first 139 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are on the verge of locking up the National League West division as their magic number currently sits at three heading into game one of the series with the Arizona Diamondbacks. 

It has been an absolutely miserable year for the Arizona Diamondbacks as they have been in the basement of the National League West division for the majority of the season. They come into this game with a record of 66-73 through their first 139 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. I don’t look for this game to go any better for them as I have the Los Angeles Dodgers picking up a relatively easy victory over the Diamondbacks. 

Atlanta Braves @ San Francisco Giants – 9:45PM ET

The Atlanta Braves and San Francisco Giants will be playing the first game of their series in this game on Monday evening. These two National League teams have met once already this season. The Atlanta Braves won the four game series three games to one.

The Atlanta Braves are making a serious push for winning a second straight World Series championship this season. They have been hot throughout the last couple of months and now they come into this game with a record of 87-53 through their first 140 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have picked up eight victories in their last 10 games on the season and Trail the New York Mets by one and a half games in the National League East division. 

The San Francisco Giants were the best team in Major League Baseball during the regular season in 2021. However, they have come nowhere close to replicating that same success this year as they come into the first game of this series with a record of 67-73 through their first 140 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have already been all but officially eliminated from playoff contention at this point.
