San Francisco Giants @ Milwaukee Brewers – 6:10PM ET

The San Francisco Giants and Milwaukee Brewers will be playing a quick one game series in this one. Milwaukee is coming off of a series with the Philadelphia Phillies. While San Francisco is coming off of a series with the Washington Nationals.

Tony Battalio

The San Francisco Giants will be looking to keep their momentum rolling after they finished off a sweep of the Washington Nationals on Sunday with a huge 12-3 victory. The Giants have started the year right where they left off last season as they come into this one with a record of 11-5 through their first 16 games of the season. The Giants are handing the ball to Sam Long who is 0-0 on the season with an Earned Run Average of 0.00 as well. He has thrown four and two thirds innings this season and has four strikeouts.

The Milwaukee Brewers come into this game after a series win over the Philadelphia Phillies. They dropped game one of the series and then bounced back with a pair of 5-3 and 1-0 wins on Saturday and Sunday. Now they will be looking to take this quick one game set with the San Francisco Giants on Monday. Milwaukee comes into this one with a record of 10-6 through their first 16 games of the season. Taking the ball for them is Corbin Burnes and I think that is what will put them over the top in this one.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Milwaukee Brewers

Jeffery Thomas

The San Francisco Giants will travel to the Midwest for a game with the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday. It’s a rare one game series that these two teams will play and is the end of an 11-game road trip for San Francisco. The Giants wrapped up their series sweep of the Washington Nationals on Sunday with a 12-3 victory. It’s been a 7-3 start to the road trip and they’ll now face a Brewers team that got a 1-0 win over the Phillies on Sunday.

Corbin Burnes has rebounded really well ever since that Opening Day debacle against the Chicago Cubs. We’ve now seen back to back 7 inning outings for him, while only allowing 2 runs total. He’ll be opposed by Sam Long who has yet to give up a run all year and I think with the short turnaround and great pitching matchup, we’ll see runs being hard to come by on Monday. Give me the under all day in this duel.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Under total runs

Marko Nadin

The Milwaukee Brewers are having a good start of the season as they are second in the NL Central with a 10-6 record. They have won 6 of the last 7 games and are coming off a 1-0 win over the Philadelphia Phillies which closed the series 2-1 in Brewers favor. Milwaukee is seventh in the league allowing 3.6 runs per game on .215 AVG but are only 25th when it comes to scoring with 3.47 runs per game. They will start Corbin Burnes who is 1-0 for the season with a 2.37 ERA.

The San Francisco Giants are second in the NL West with a 11-5 record only one loss more than the leading LA Dodgers. The Giants are coming off a 3-0 sweep in the series against the Washington Nationals after they failed 3-1 to the New York Mets. This will be San Francisco’s 11th straight road game. They are ranked on top of the league with 0.50 allowed home runs per game and are ranked second with 2.64 allowed runs per game. The Giants will start Sam Long who will make his season debut tonight.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Milwaukee Brewers

Boston Red Sox @ Toronto Blue Jays – 7:07PM ET

The Boston Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays will be meeting for the second time this season. In their first series of the season last week the Blue Jays picked up two wins and clinched the series two games to one. This time around it will be a four game series.

Tony Battalio

The Boston Red Sox come into this one after dropping the last two games of a three game series to the Tampa Bay Rays. Now they will be looking to bounce back in this four game series against the Toronto Blue Jays. As these two teams will meet for the second time this season. Boston is currently 7-9 through their first 16 games of the regular season as they have started the season out a bit slow. Taking the ball for the Red Sox in this one will be Nathan Evoldi who is 1-0 on the season with a 3.68 Earned Run Average.

The Toronto Blue Jays are expected to be one of the best teams in baseball this season. They have gotten the year off to a fast start. They come into this with a record of 10-6 through their first 16 games of the season. They are coming off of a two games to one series win over the Houston Astros. It was a great series and potentially an early preview of the American League Championship Series as well. As for the result of this one however, I am going with the Blue Jays over the Red Sox.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Toronto Blue Jays (-142)

Jeffery Thomas

It is an AL East battle taking place on Monday when the Toronto Blue Jays host the Boston Red Sox for the start of a four-game series. The Red Sox have been struggling offensively and are losers of four of their last five. In that span, the Sox are only scoring 2.2 runs a game, only eclipsing 2 runs once. They will hope a date with the Blue Jays and Jose Berrios is what they need to get the offense going but it’s not a given. The Blue Jays are heading in the opposite direction, winning four of their last five, with the lone loss coming in an extra-innings battle with the Astros on Sunday.

The Blue Jays have the more trustworthy pitcher going in this game, with Jose Berrios and have been playing much better baseball than Boston lately. Also when these two teams played less than a week ago the Jays took two of three and I see this series going similarly. I like Toronto to take Game 1 and make it three straight wins over their division rival.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Toronto Blue Jays (-142)

Marko Nadin

The Toronto Blue Jays have started the season really well as they are on top of the AL East with a 10-6 record. They are coming off a 8-7 extra inning loss to the Houston Rockets that snapped their four-game winning streak. The Blue Jays and the Red Sox already met this season in Boston with Toronto winning the series 2 games to 1. The Blue Jays are the best team in the league with 1.39 home runs per game and are ranked 12th scoring 4.20 runs per game. They will start Jose Berrios who is 1-0 for the season with a 6.35 ERA.

The Boston Red Sox are fourth in the AL East with a 7-9 record and are coming off back-to-back losses against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Red Sox are 20th in the league scoring 3.66 runs per game and 15th allowing 4.01 runs per game. Boston will start Nathan Eovaldi who is 1-0 for the season with a 3.68 ERA. Boston has won 5 of the last 7 games following a loss but only 3 of the last 10 games against a team with a winning record.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Toronto Blue Jays (-142)

New York Mets @ St.Louis Cardinals – 7:45PM ET

The New York Mets and St.Louis Cardinals will be opening a three game series in this one. They come into this one as two of the top teams in baseball. As they both sit in first place in their respective National League divisions.

Tony Battalio

Two of the top teams in Major League Baseball and two of the National League division leaders are set to meet in this three game series. As the New York Mets travel to the Midwest to Busch Stadium to play the St.Louis Cardinals. The New York Mets capped off their weekend series with the Arizona Diamondbacks by grabbing a series clinching victory on Sunday by a score of 6-2. It was their second series win over the Diamondbacks in the last seven days as their season record against them will end with a winning record of 4-2.

The St.Louis Cardinals are coming into this game with a record of 9-5 through their first 14 games of the season. They are coming off of a series with the Cincinnati Reds where they won 2 games to 1 as they allowed the Reds to finally break their lengthy losing streak on Sunday. Taking the ball for the Cardinals in this one will be Miles Mikolas who is 1-0 on the season after appearing in three games. He has an Earned Run Average of 1.76 and has totaled 13 strikeouts in 15 and a third innings. As for the result of this one I am taking the New York Mets to get the win at Busch.

Tony’s MLB Pick: New York Mets (-148)

Jeffery Thomas

The New York Mets will travel to St.Louis to take on the Cardinals on Monday, in the opening game of a three-game set between the two National League contenders. On Sunday, the Cardinals were the unlucky team that was finally beaten by the Cincinnati Reds, ending their 11-game losing streak. It was just the third loss in the last nine games for St.Louis though, so they are still holding on to their top spot in the NL Central. Holding the top spot in all of the National League though is the New York Mets, who got a 6-2 win over the Diamondbacks on Sunday behind the arm of Tyler Megill. Megill is now 3-0 on the season with a 2.35 ERA.

Whenever Max Scherzer is on the mound for the Mets, it’s a great time to back them. The Mets have looked like one of the best teams in all of baseball at times and now with the best pitcher on the mound and the Cardinals coming off a flat performance, this is a Mets spot all the way. Give me the road team.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: New York Mets (-148)

Marko Nadin

The St. Louis Cardinals are on top of the NL Central with a 9-5 record. They are coming off a 4-1 loss to the Cincinnati Reds which snapped the Reds 10-game losing streak. The Cardinals are 11th in the league with 4.43 runs per game and fifth allowing 3.02 runs per game and 0.66 home runs per game. The Cardinals will start Miles Mikolas who is 1-0 for the season with a 1.76 ERA. St. Louis has played under the total runs margin in the last 6 games and in 19 of the last 26 first games of a series.

The New York Mets have started the season very well as they are on top of the NL East with a 12-5 record which is the second-best record in the entire league. The Mets have won every series this season and are coming off a 2-1 series win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Mets are ranked 4th in the league allowing 2.9 runs per game and 8th with 4.80 scored runs per game. They will start Mark Sherzer who is 3-0 for the season with a 2.50 ERA.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Under 6.5 Runs (-122)

Houston Astros @ Texas Rangers – 8:05PM ET

This all Texas showdown is set to commence for the first time this season. As the Houston Astros and Texas Rangers are set to play a four game series. Both teams have come in after some underwhelming starts to the season. As they will be looking to get back on track.

Tony Battalio

The Houston Astros enter this series coming off of a series loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. Now they will be looking to bounce back against their in-state rivals the Texas Rangers in this lone star showdown. Houston comes into this year as one of the favorites to win the American League pennant and the World Series, however they have had a bit of a slow start to the 2022 Major League Baseball season. As they enter this game with a record of 7-8 through their first 15 games of the season.

The Texas Rangers spent a lot of money over the off-season and so far it’s all looking like a bad investment. As they come into this one with double the number of losses as they do wins. They are currently 5-10 on the season and are coming off of a series win over the Oakland Athletics. Now they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling against the Houston Astros. As for the result of this first game of this series however, I am going with the Astros to pick up the victory.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Houston Astros (-134)

Jeffery Thomas

The Houston Astros will travel across the state of Texas to take on their division rival Texas Rangers on Monday. The Astros were able to get an 8-7 win on Sunday over the Blue Jays to avoid a three-game sweep in the series that saw every game decided by 1 run. The Rangers lost on Sunday to the Oakland Athletics but still won the series, which was their first series win of the new season. Their record now sits at 5-10 which is good for dead last in the AL West.

The Astros are still trying to adjust to life without George Springer and Carlos Correa, and now with the injury to Jose Altuve it’s just a whole different team. Even without them, there’s plenty of talent left to get past this Rangers team that has developed a trend early on of losing games in bunches.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Houston Astros (-134)

Marko Nadin

The Texas Rangers are at the bottom of the AL West with a 5-10 record. They are coming off a 2-0 loss to the Oakland Athletics which put an end to their three-game winning streak. The Rangers are sixth in the league with 4.88 runs per game and 27th allowing 5.36 runs per game. They will start Dane Dunning who is 0-1 for the season with a 5.68 ERA. The Rangers have won 5 of the last 6 games as underdogs but have lost 6 of the last 7 home games.

The Houston Astros are 4th in the AL West with a 7-8 record. They are coming off a 8-7 extra inning win against the Toronto Blue Jays which put an end to their four-game losing streak. Houston is 21st in the league with 3.65 runs per game and 17th allowing 4.19 runs per game. The Astros will start Framber Valdez tonight who is 1-1 for the season with a 4.50 ERA. Houston has won 8 of the last 10 games against Texas and 13 of the last 18 games against teams with a losing record under 40%.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Houston Astros (-134)

Cleveland Guardians @ Los Angeles Angels – 9:38PM ET

The Cleveland Guardians and Los Angeles Angels will be playing the first game of a three game series. As the Guardians are looking to bounce back after being swept by the Yankees. The Los Angeles Angels are coming off of a series loss to the Baltimore Orioles.

Tony Battalio

The Cleveland Guardians have been having a weird season thus far. As their offense seems to show up during Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. However, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday they don’t show up at all. Now they will look to bounce back after being swept by the New York Yankees over the weekend in the Bronx. The Guardians come into this game with a record of 7-8 through their first 15 games of the season. As they remained close to first place in the American League Central despite being swept.

The Los Angeles Angels may have finally figured out how to win games while having two of the greatest players on the planet on their roster. As they come into this one with a record of 9-7 through their first 16 games of the season. They find themselves a single game behind the Seattle Mariners for first place in the American League West. They are coming off of a disappointing series loss to the Baltimore Orioles. As for the result of this game I am going with the Cleveland Guardians.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Cleveland Guardians (-120)

Jeffery Thomas

The Cleveland Guardians will be happy to not be playing the New York Yankees after the sweep they fell victim to, that saw them get outscored 19-7 in three games. Cleveland helped Yankees ace Gerrit Cole earn his first victory of the season, when he threw 6 ⅔ scoreless innings in the 10-2 pounding on Sunday. They’ll now play a series against the Los Angeles Angels who avoided a series sweep themselves by edging out the Baltimore Orioles 7-6 on Sunday.

After a rough series on the East Coast, I imagine we see the Guardians coke out flat after traveling across the country for a game the next day. Their pitching and offense are nothing impressive right now, but they will be turning to ace Shane Beiber in this game. That has me wanting to take Cleveland but I’m just not confident in them after their efforts over the weekend. This Angels lineup is dangerous and can get a few off Beiber if he’s not hitting his spots regularly. Give me the Angels at home to start off the series with a W.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Los Angeles Angels (+102)

Marko Nadin

The Los Angeles Angels are second in the AL West with a 9-7 record. They are coming off a 7-6 win over Baltimore but still lost the series 2-1 to the Orioles. The Angels are 4th in the league with 5.01 runs per game and second with 1.44 home runs per game. They will start Michael Lorenzen who is 1-1 for the season with a 4.72 ERA. The Angels have won 5 of the last 6 games after scoring 5 or more runs in the previous game and 14 of the last 20 games against a team with a losing record.

The Cleveland Guardians are second in the AL Central with a 7-8 record. They are coming off a 3-0 series loss to the New York Yankees. The Guardians are third in the league scoring 5.13 runs per game and .264 AVG while they are 18th in the league allowing 4.24 runs per game. Cleveland have won 9 of the last 10 games against the Angels including the last 5. They will start Shane Bieber who is 1-0 on 2.25 ERA for the season.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Los Angeles Angels (+102)
