The Milwaukee Brewers (39-37) are on the road to face the Cleveland Guardians (37-39) at Progressive Field on Sunday with the three-game Interleague series all square at 1-1.
The Guardians evened the series 1-1 after winning 4-2 on Saturday. Starter Tanner Bibee went six innings, allowing two runs (1 ER) on three hits and striking out seven, to get the win, and Emmanuel Clase earned his 23rd save with a scoreless ninth.
Jose Ramirez went 2 for 3 with one run in the win. Christian Yelich was 1 for 2 with two walks and two runs for the Brewers.
ON THE MOUND
Corbin Burnes (5-5, 3.96 ERA) is set to take the mound for Milwaukee. The right-hander allowed seven runs over five innings in his last start, a 9-1 home defeat against the Diamondbacks on Monday. He was charged with the loss, yielding eight hits while striking out three and walking two.
For Cleveland, RHP Aaron Civale (2-2, 2.67 ERA) will toe the rubber. It’s his first appearance of the season against the Brewers. In his last start on Tuesday, Civale took a no-decision at home against the Athletics. He threw 6.2 innings and gave up two runs on five hits, striking out six and walking three in the 3-2 victory.
