The Chicago White Sox (32-43) host the Texas Rangers (45-28) at Guaranteed Rate Field on Wednesday with the three-game series in the balance.
The White Sox leveled the series 1-1 after winning 7-6 on Tuesday. Reliever Aaron Bummer was credited with the win after throwing 0.1 scoreless innings, and Kendall Graveman picked up his seventh save with a scoreless ninth.
Elvis Andrus went 2 for 4 with a home run, two runs, and three RBIs in the win. Corey Seager was 3 for 4 with two doubles and five RBIs for the Rangers, extending his on-base streak to 11 games. Adolis Garcia added a solo home run and a double.
ON THE MOUND
Martin Perez (6-3, 4.54 ERA) is set to start for Texas. The left-hander allowed two runs over six innings in his last start, a 2-1 road defeat against the Blue Jays on Friday. He took the loss, yielding three hits while striking out three and walking two.
Perez is making his first appearance against the White Sox this season. Perez made one start against the White Sox in 2022, an 11-9 road victory on June 11. He surrendered seven runs on 12 hits over five innings, striking out four and walking two.

In his last start on Friday, Kopech took a no-decision on the road against the Mariners. He threw 4.1 innings and gave up one run on six hits, striking out four and walking six in the 3-2 defeat.
