Max Scherzer (5-2, 3.54 ERA) is set to start for New York. The RHP allowed two runs (one earned) over seven innings in his last start, a 4-2 road win over the Phillies on Thursday.
He was credited with the win, giving up five hits while striking out nine and walking one. Scherzer is making his first appearance against the Braves this season. Over four starts against the Braves in 2022, Scherzer was 3-1 with a 3.12 ERA over 26 innings.

He gave up six hits and walked three, while striking out six in the loss. In his last start on Friday, Morton took the loss on the road against the Diamondbacks. He threw seven innings and gave up three runs on six hits, striking out nine and walking two in the 3-2 defeat.
