The Northern Illinois University Huskies (2-7, 1-4 MAC), one of the Mid-American Conference’s strongest rushing offenses, head to face the Western Michigan University Broncos (3-6, 2-3 MAC), one of the conference’s weakest ground defenses, at Waldo Stadium on Wednesday.Northern Illinois is coming off a 35-22 loss against Central Michigan at Brigham Field at Huskie Stadium last Wednesday.
Nevan Cremascoli threw for 158 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Harrison Waylee ran 20 times for 136 yards. Tristen Tewes caught three passes for 70 yards and a touchdown. Western Michigan lost 13-9 to Bowling Green at Doyt L. Perry Stadium last Wednesday. Treyson Bourguet was 16 of 27 for 191 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Sean Tyler carried 26 times for 93 yards. Corey Crooms scored once. He hauled in eight receptions for 151 yards.
