Charleston Southern is coming off a 52-38 loss to Western Carolina at Buccaneer Field last Saturday. Ross Malmgren was 30-45 for 392 yards with five touchdowns and an interception. TJ Ruff ran nine times for 60 yards. He added nine receptions for 99 yards and a touchdown. Seth Anderson caught eight passes for 131 yards and two touchdowns. North Carolina State (1-0, 0-0 Home) beat East Carolina 21-20 at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium last Saturday. Devin Leary threw for 211 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Demie Sumo-Karngbaye carried 14 times for 79 yards and a touchdown. Thayer Thomas also scored once. He had four receptions for 58 yards. North Carolina State is 94th in FBS in scoring average among teams who have already played after posting 21 points in Week 1, while the home team’s 20 points allowed ranks 58th.
