The No. 2 seed Texas Longhorns (26-8, 15-6 Big 12) take on the No. 15 seed Colgate Raiders (26-8, 20-1 Patriot League) Thursday at Wells Fargo Arena in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Colgate dominated the Lafayette Leopards 79-61 at Cotterell Court on March 8 in the Patriot League Conference Tourney Championship, their ninth straight win. With 21 points and five blocks, Keegan Records was a top performer.
Texas won their fourth in a row in dominant fashion in the Big 12 Conference Tourney Championship on Saturday at T-Mobile Center, beating the Kansas Jayhawks 76-56. Dylan Disu had 18 points to lead the team.
The Raiders have been led this season by Tucker Richardson (13.9 ppg), Records (13.0), and Oliver Lynch-Daniels (12.3). Records also has grabbed 6.0 rebounds per game, while Richardson has dished 5.8 assists per game.
