The No. 3 seed Gonzaga Bulldogs (28-5, 16-2 WCC) face the No. 14 seed Grand Canyon Antelopes (24-11, 14-7 WAC) Friday at Ball Arena in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Grand Canyon dismantled the Southern Utah Thunderbirds 84-66 at Orleans Arena on Saturday in the Western Athletic Conference Tourney Championship, their sixth win in a row. With 31 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists, Ray Harrison had a standout performance.
Gonzaga won their ninth in a row in dominant fashion in the West Coast Conference Tourney Championship on March 7 at Orleans Arena, beating the Saint Mary’s Gaels 77-51. Drew Timme topped the scoresheet with 18 points.
With 9 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists, Anton Watson also produced a strong performance. Harrison is averaging 17.7 points per game to lead the Antelopes in scoring this season. Harrison also has dished 3.6 assists per game. Meanwhile, Gabe McGlothan is grabbing 7.7 rebounds.
Timme’s 20.9 points per game have powered the Bulldogs on offense. Timme also has posted 7.3 rebounds per game. Nolan Hickman has doled out 3.2 assists per game. The Bulldogs are the most explosive offense in the country with 87.5 points per game.
