The Oklahoma State Cowboys (16-10, 7-6 Big 12) head to face the No. 22 TCU Horned Frogs (17-8, 6-6 Big 12) Saturday in what should be a low-scoring game. Oklahoma State dropped their last game against the Kansas Jayhawks 87-76 at Gallagher-Iba Arena on Tuesday.
Kalib Boone led the way in the losing effort with 27 points and nine rebounds. The Cowboys remain sixth in the Big 12 Conference. TCU dropped their third in a row on Saturday at Ed & Rae Schollmaier Arena, falling to the Baylor Bears 72-68.
Damion Baugh had 16 points, 10 assists, and seven rebounds in the loss, carrying the team. The Horned Frogs remain seventh in the Big 12 Conference.
It’s the last meeting of the season between the teams. Oklahoma State will be aiming for a season sweep against TCU after winning the only previous game 79-73 at Gallagher-Iba Arena on February 4.
Boone led the Cowboys with 25 points. Emanuel Miller had 17 points in the loss. The Cowboys have been led this season by Boone and Bryce Thompson, who are averaging 12.5 and 11.5 points per game, respectively. Meanwhile, Moussa Cisse is grabbing 7.0 rebounds per game, and Avery Anderson III is dishing 3.0 assists.
Mike Miles Jr. and Miller have powered the Horned Frogs on offense, averaging 13.0 and 11.4 points per game, respectively. Miller also has averaged 5.6 rebounds per game. Baugh has distributed 4.2 assists per game.
The Cowboys and the Horned Frogs are two of the top defenses in the country, ranking 20th and 23rd in defensive efficiency, respectively. Oklahoma State is 7-3 in the last 10 games with an average margin of +2.6 (70.9-68.3).
