The Austin Peay Governors (6-6) will try to break down one of the nation’s top scoring defenses when they travel to face the No. 8 Tennessee Volunteers (9-2) on Wednesday. Austin Peay was beaten by the Murray State Racers 68-60 at CFSB Center on Friday.
Elijah Hutchins-Everett was the leading scorer in defeat with 17 points. Carlos Paez was another key contributor with 13 points and seven rebounds. Tennessee lost on Saturday at McKale Memorial Center, falling to the Arizona Wildcats 75-70. Zakai Zeigler had 21 points and six rebounds in the loss to lead the team.
Hutchins-Everett and Sean Durugordon, averaging 13.8 and 12.0 points per game, respectively, are leading the Governors in scoring this season.
