The No. 4 Purdue Boilermakers (8-0, 1-0 Big 10) will be looking to add to their winning run when they host the Hofstra Pride (6-3) on Wednesday. Hofstra dropped their last game against the George Mason Patriots 81-77 at EagleBank Arena on Wednesday. Aaron Estrada was the key player in the loss with 31 points.
Purdue won their eighth in a row in dominating fashion on Sunday at Mackey Arena, beating the Minnesota Golden Gophers 89-70. Zach Edey had 31 points and 22 rebounds, leading the team. The Boilermakers triumphed in the last meeting between the teams 83-54 at Mackey Arena in November 2012.
Estrada is averaging 21.7 points per game to lead the Pride in scoring this season. Estrada also has dished 4.0 assists per game. Meanwhile, Nelson Boachie-Yiadom is grabbing 5.7 rebounds.
Edey has been the primary provider for the Boilermakers on offense, averaging 23.3 points per game. Edey also has posted 12.8 rebounds per game, second-most in the country. Ethan Morton has doled out 4.1 assists per game.
