RJ Davis was the scoring leader with 21 points. Armando Bacot added 19 points and 23 rebounds. Portland lost on Saturday at Earle A. Chiles Center, falling to the Seattle Redhawks 80-68. Tyler Robertson had 22 points and eight rebounds in the loss to lead the team.
The Tar Heels triumphed in the last meeting between the teams 102-78 at Moda Center at the Rose Quarter in November 2017. The Tar Heels have been led early this season by Bacot (18.3 ppg), Caleb Love (17.8), and Davis (15.8).
Bacot also has grabbed 11.8 rebounds per game, ninth-most in the nation, while Davis has dished 3.5 assists per game. Robertson (17.5 ppg) has powered the Pilots’ offense. Robertson also has recorded 4.3 assists per game. Moses Wood has posted 7.6 rebounds per game.
