It figures to be a high-scoring affair when the No. 25 Pittsburgh Panthers (21-9, 14-5 ACC) travel to face the No. 16 Miami (FL) Hurricanes (23-6, 14-5 ACC) on Saturday. Pittsburgh was defeated by the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 88-81 at Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center on Wednesday.
Nike Sibande was a top performer in the losing effort with 19 points. The Panthers remain first in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Miami (FL) lost a close one on Saturday at Watsco Center, falling to the Florida State Seminoles 85-84.
Jordan Miller had 21 points and seven rebounds in the losing effort to lead the team. The Hurricanes are third in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The teams are meeting for the last time this season. Pittsburgh will be aiming for a season sweep against Miami (FL) after getting the win in the only earlier meeting 71-68 at Petersen Events Center on January 28.
