The No. 5 Kansas Jayhawks (21-5, 9-4 Big 12) will try to slow down one of the top scoring teams in the Big 12 Conference when they welcome the No. 9 Baylor Bears (20-6, 9-4 Big 12) on Saturday. Baylor topped the West Virginia Mountaineers 79-67 at Ferrell Center on Monday, their fourth win in a row.
LJ Cryer was a top performer with 26 points. The Bears fell to third in the Big 12 Conference. Kansas won their third in a row on Tuesday at Gallagher-Iba Arena, beating the Oklahoma State Cowboys 87-76. Gradey Dick had 26 points, carrying the team. The Jayhawks are first in the Big 12 Conference.
It’s the last meeting of the season between the teams. After taking the only prior season matchup against Kansas 75-69 at Ferrell Center on January 23, Baylor will be pursuing a season sweep. Cryer led the Bears with 22 points, while Jalen Bridges contributed 11 points and nine rebounds. Dick had 24 points in defeat.
Keyonte George and Adam Flagler, averaging 16.5 and 14.6 points per game, respectively, have led the Bears in scoring this season. Flagler also has dished 4.6 assists per game.
