The Iowa Hawkeyes (18-11, 10-8 Big 10), one of the NCAA’s top scoring teams, head to face the No. 17 Indiana Hoosiers (19-9, 10-7 Big 10) on Tuesday. Iowa defeated the Michigan State Spartans 112-106 in overtime at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Saturday. With 26 points, Kris Murray was the top scorer.
Tony Perkins was another key contributor with 24 points, nine rebounds, and six assists. The Hawkeyes are seventh in the Big Ten Conference. Indiana dropped their last game on Tuesday at Jack Breslin Student Events Center, falling to the Michigan State Spartans 80-65.
Trayce Jackson-Davis had 19 points, seven rebounds, and five assists in the loss, leading the team. The Hoosiers dropped to sixth in the Big Ten Conference.
This is the final meeting of the season between the teams. After winning the only previous season matchup against Indiana 91-89 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on January 5, their third straight head-to-head victory, Iowa will be aiming for a season sweep.
Murray led the Hawkeyes with 30 points and 10 rebounds. Jackson-Davis had 30 points, nine rebounds, and three blocks in defeat. The Hawkeyes have been led this season by Murray, who is averaging 18.1 points per game.
Meanwhile, Filip Rebraca is grabbing 7.6 rebounds per game, and Connor McCaffery is dishing 3.6 assists. Jackson-Davis has been the primary provider for the Hoosiers on offense, averaging 19.0 points per game.
