The Division III Eastern Oregon Mountaineers (0-1) will try to slow down one of the NCAA’s top scoring teams when they travel to face the No. 10 Gonzaga Bulldogs (10-3) on Wednesday.
Gonzaga won their fifth in a row on December 20 at McCarthey Athletic Center, beating the Montana Grizzlies 85-75. Drew Timme had 32 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists, leading the team.
Timme (22.1 ppg) has been the primary provider of the Bulldogs’ offense. He ranks as the sixth-highest scorer in the NCAA. Timme also has posted 8.3 rebounds per game. Nolan Hickman has doled out 3.9 assists per game.
The Bulldogs are averaging 82.5 points per game, ranking as one of the most explosive offenses in the country (24th).
