It has been a rather slow start to the regular season for Florida International and they will look to pick up an upset victory over Florida Atlantic here on Wednesday night on the road in Boca Raton. They come into this game with seven losses through their first 10 games of the regular season. They will look to bounce back with a huge momentum boosting victory here on Wednesday night on the road against the top 25 team in the country. They will need to play one of their best games of the season if they want to get the job done here in this one on Wednesday night against Florida Atlantic in this rivalry matchup. They have been awful on the defensive end of the court as they are giving up nearly 76 points per game, and that will not help them against one of the top offenses in the country here on Wednesday night. 

As they will need to find a way to shut down this Florida Atlantic offense that is averaging over 80 points per game throughout the early part of the regular season. Florida Atlantic is off to a quality start to the regular season as they come into this game with seven victories through their first nine games of the season and they will look for victory number eight here in this rivalry game. They are currently ranked 15th in the country and they will look to further establish themselves as a legitimate top 25 team with another victory here in this one against their rivals at home. Their high flying offense has carried away for them throughout the early part of the regular season and they will look to maintain their 84 points per game average with another quality performance here in this game on Wednesday night. That is exactly what I expect as I look for them to pick up the victory and comfortable fashion and cover the spread in the process.

Chicago State @ #25 Northwestern – 8pm ET

It has been a rough start to the season for the Chicago State Pioneers and they come into this game looking to pick up an upset victory over a top 25 Northwestern team. They come into this game as losers of nine out of their first 12 games of the regular season and they are in desperate need of a huge momentum boost early on in the year. They have been inconsistent on both ends of the court as they are only scoring around 65 points per game while giving up around 71 points per game and that is not a recipe for success for Chicago State this season. They will need to find a way to improve both of those numbers if they want to find any type of long-term success throughout the year and they will need to play one of their best games of the season as they arguably faced their toughest test of the season here on Wednesday night against Northwestern. 

The Northwestern Wildcats are off to a solid start to the regular season as they come into this game ranked inside of the top 25 in the country. This is their first time being ranked inside the top 25 this season, and they will look to maintain that ranking with another string of quality performances throughout the week. Northwestern comes into this game with seven victories through their first eight games of the regular season and they have a massive résumé building win on their record after beating Purdue when they were the number one team in the country. They have been solid on both ends of the court and they will look to maintain those averages throughout this game on Wednesday night against Chicago State as they look for their eighth win of the year. They come into this game with plenty of momentum as they are currently on a three game-winning streak and they have picked up four victories in their last five games on the season and I expect them to pick up another comfortable victory here in this one. 

#8 Creighton @ UNLV – 9pm ET

The Creighton Blue Jays are off to a fantastic start to the regular season as they come into this game ranked eighth of the country and they will look to grab another victory on the road against UNLV here on Wednesday night. They arguably have one of the best players in the country as point guard Trey Alexander has been incredible throughout the early part of the year and he has helped lead them to the solid start of the year. Creighton comes into this game with eight victories to their first nine games of the regular season and they will look to grab a ninth victory here on Wednesday night on the road in Las Vegas against UNLV. They have been incredible on both ends of the court as they are averaging around 87 points per game and they are giving up less than 70 points per game which will lead to long-term success for this team throughout the year. 

UNLV is having a slow start to the regular season and they will look for a massive résumé building victory here on Wednesday night at home against a top 10 ranked Creighton team. They are in desperate need of a momentum boost coming into this game on Wednesday night as they are one game below .500 through their first seven games of the regular season. They are coming off of a three-point loss and their previous game at home and that is their only loss at home this season as they have picked up two victories in three opportunities. They will need to improve their play on the defensive end of the floor as they are giving up about 74 points per game throughout the early part of the season. However, I don’t see this game going well for them as I look for Creighton to pick up a comfortable win and cover the spread in the process.

Denver @ #18 BYU – 9pm ET

Denver is off to a decent start to the regular season and they will look to grab an upset victory on the road in Provo against BYU on Wednesday night. They come into this game with six victories on the year through their first 10 games of the regular season and they will look for their seventh victory of the year here on Wednesday night in this solid showdown. A victory in this game would go a long way for Denver as they would be taking down one of the top 25 teams in the country and it would give them a massive momentum boost heading into the rest of December, and into conference play as well. They have been solid on both ends of the court and they will help that they can use that to their advantage throughout this game on Wednesday night as they are averaging around 83 points per game on offense. They are averaging less than 70 points allowed on defense as they look to slow down a highflying BYU offense throughout this game as well. 

BYU is off to a quality start to the regular season and they come into this game ranked 18th in the country throughout the early part of the year. They will be looking to pick a solid victory in this game on Wednesday night at home against Denver. As they look to maintain the momentum they have built throughout the early part of the regular season. They come into this game with eight victories, through their first nine games of the regular season, and they will be looking for their ninth victory of the year here in this one against a quality mid-major program. They are averaging nearly 90 points per game on the offensive end of the court and they are giving up around 60 points per game on the defensive end of the court. As they have been fantastic on both ends, and that will lead to long-term success for them this season. I look for them to pick up a comfortable victory in this game and cover the spread here on Wednesday night at home against Denver.
