The San Diego State Aztecs (4-0) are on the road to face the Arizona Wildcats (4-0) on Tuesday in a showdown of teams out to prolong winning streaks. San Diego State defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes 88-77 at Lahaina Civic Center yesterday, their fourth win in a row.
With 18 points, Matt Bradley was the leading scorer. Micah Parrish added 15 points. Arizona won their fourth in a row yesterday at Lahaina Civic Center, beating the Cincinnati Bearcats 101-93. Azuolas Tubelis had 30 points and 11 rebounds, carrying the team.
The Wildcats triumphed in the last meeting between the teams 61-59 at Lahaina Civic Center in November 2014, their fourth straight against the Aztecs. The Aztecs have been led early this season by Jaedon LeDee and Darrion Trammell, who are averaging 13.5 and 12.8 points per game, respectively. Meanwhile, Nathan Mensah is grabbing 6.8 rebounds per game, and Lamont Butler is dishing 4.8 assists.
Tubelis (22.5 ppg) has supplied much of the Wildcats’ offense. Kerr Kriisa is tallying 7.8 assists per game, eighth-most in the NCAA, and Oumar Ballo is collecting 9.5 rebounds per game.
