#21 Mississippi State @ Georgia Tech – 7PM ET

Mississippi State is having a quality start to the season and they will be looking to maintain that momentum here on Tuesday night on the road in Atlanta against the Yellow Jackets of Georgia Tech. They come into this game ranked 21st in the country as they continue to move up the top 25 rankings as they continue to rack up victories throughout the early part of the regular season. They come into this game undefeated through their first six games of the season and they will be looking for their seventh consecutive victory here on Tuesday night against Georgia Tech. They play in one of the toughest conferences in America and they will need every nonconference when they can get through the early part of the year to build their résumé and a victory in this game could go a long way in helping them do that. They come into this game looking to further pad, their nonconference résumé as they look to take down Georgia Tech on the road in what should be a quality performance from Mississippi State. 

It has been a less than impressive start to the season for Georgia Tech and they will be looking to get things back on track in this game on Tuesday night on the road in Atlanta against Mississippi State. They will be looking for a massive momentum boosting victory as they look to get things rolling in the right direction heading into the month of December as they look to upset Mississippi State and get themselves a huge résumé boosting victory early on in the regular season. They come into this game after splitting their first four games of the regular season and they will be looking for a huge victory here on Tuesday night at home in the Atlantic Coast Conference/ SouthEastern Conference challenge. Although I expect this game to be closer than it would be if it was taking place in Starkville I still look for Georgia Tech to come up short as I look for Mississippi State to grab the victory here on Tuesday night in Atlanta against the Yellow Jackets.

#8 Miami @ #12 Kentucky – 7:30PM ET

The Miami Hurricanes come into this game with an opportunity to grab a huge top 25 victory on the road in Lexington here on Tuesday night. This Miami team has looked solid throughout the early part of the regular season, and if this game was taking place in Coral Gables, they would likely be the betting favorite against the Kentucky Wildcats. However, they have to go into one of the toughest venues in all of college basketball and try and pull out a huge victory early on in the season that is a tough task for the Miami Hurricanes playing at Rupp Arena here on Tuesday night. They will be looking to pass their test with a quality performance here in this one as they look to continue their hot start to the season and further establish themselves as a top 10 team in the country. Miami comes into this game with a record of 5-0 and they will be looking to remain undefeated with another quality performance against Kentucky. 

Despite being rather underrated coming into the regular season, Kentucky is off to a quality start to the year. They will be looking to maintain that start with another huge performance at home against Miami, they will also be looking to add a huge résumé building victory to their record early on in the year with a win here at home against the Hurricanes on Tuesday night. Kentucky comes into this game with five victories through their first six games of the regular season. They will be looking to make it six out of seven and get themselves. A statement win to put the program back into the top 10 of the country heading into the beginning of December. I expect this to be a close, and competitive contest between two of the top 15 teams in the country, but in the end I do look for the Kentucky Wildcats to pull out the victory at home over the Miami Hurricanes here on Tuesday night in Lexington at Rupp Arena. 

Eastern Illinois @ #5 Kansas – 8PM ET

Eastern Illinois will be looking to pull off the upset of the season when they hit the road to play Kansas here on Tuesday night. They come into this game with a losing record through their first seven games of the season, but they will be looking to get back to .500 with their fourth victory of the year here on Tuesday night against the Kansas Jayhawks. This will certainly be the toughest task of the season for Eastern Illinois, and they will be looking to conquer the task with an efficient and mistake free performance here on Tuesday night on the road against the nationally ranked Jayhawks. They have a little bit of momentum coming into this game after picking up a victory and their previous contest but they will need to play a lot better than their 69 points per game average suggest if they want to get a win over a top ranked team in the country. They will also need to find a way to slow down the Kansas offense that averages over 80 points per game on the season as well.

Kansas comes into this game ranked fifth in the country, and they will be looking to get back to the top of the mountain with a quality performance here on Tuesday night against Eastern Illinois. For the majority of the the beginning of the season, Kansas was the number one team in the country, but they lost to Marquette and they have fallen all the way back down to fifth heading into this week and the beginning of December. The Kansas Jayhawks have the potential to be one of the best teams in the country. As long as they remain healthy and consistent throughout the regular season and so far they are doing a solid job of that. Despite the one loss of Marquette last week in Maui, it is one of the best losses in the country as Marquette looks to be one of the top teams in the country this season as well. I look for Kansas to get right back to the grind and pick up a comfortable victory here on Tuesday night at home against Eastern Illinois.

Texas Southern @ #1 Purdue – 8:30PM ET

Texas Southern is having a rather rough start to the regular season as they have yet to pick up a victory through their first six games of the year. It will be looking to pull off a huge upset against Purdue as they head into West Lafayette to play the number one team in the country here on Tuesday night. They have been extremely uncompetitive throughout the early part of the regular season and they will be looking to get things on track, but they will need to play a perfect game of basketball to get the job done here on Tuesday night on the road in West Lafayette against the Boilermakers. This will be the toughest task of the season for Texas Southern, as they look to take down the number one overall team in the country and they will need to play a very efficient game of basketball here in this one to beat Purdue. They will have to find a way to stop Zach Edey, as he has established himself as the best player in the country throughout the early part of the season as well.

Purdue is having a fantastic start to the season, and now they sit as the number one team in the country heading into the beginning of December. It will be looking to maintain that fantastic start to the season with a quality performance here on Tuesday night at home against Texas Southern after winning the Maui Invitational last week. They should have a much easier time playing Texas Southern, as compared to top programs like Marquette and Gonzaga like they did in Maui last weekend, but it did build their résumé quite a bit throughout the early part of the year. They are undefeated coming into this game and they will be looking to stay undefeated with another quality performance here on Tuesday night at home against Texas Southern. That is exactly what I expect as I look for Purdue to pick up the victory and comfortable fashion and I expect them to cover the spread in the process.

Clemson @ #22 Alabama – 9:30PM ET

Clemson is having a quality start to the regular season and they will be looking to maintain that momentum when they hit the road to Tuscaloosa to play the Alabama Crimson Tide. This is a game that seems more fit to be on a football field with both teams coming into this game with solid records but both schools’ men’s basketball programs have been solid throughout the last couple of years as well. Clemson will be looking to maintain their undefeated record with another quality game here in this one on Tuesday night on the road, as they look to grab a victory for the Atlantic Coast Conference in this challenge against the SEC. Clemson comes into this game with five consecutive victories to open up the regular regular season and they will be looking for a six straight win here on Tuesday night in Tuscaloosa against the Crimson Tide. A victory in this game for Clemson would likely propel them into the top 25 next week as they look to move further up the rankings and establish themselves as a potential contender this season.

Alabama is off to a quality start to the regular season and they will be looking to maintain that start with a victory over Clemson here on Tuesday night in Tuscaloosa. Alabama does have one loss on the season after being upset by Ohio State last week but they will be looking to bounce back from that and get right back into the win column with a solid performance against a quality Clemson team here in this one. The Crimson Tide are mostly known for being a football school, but the men’s basketball program has been on the rise for the last several seasons, and they will be looking to maintain that rise with another quality win here against Clemson at home. With the way Clemson is playing throughout the early part of the season this game will likely end up being a solid résumé builder, regardless of who wins it here on Tuesday night. In the end, I do look for Alabama to pick up the victory over Clemson at home as I look for the crowd to make the difference in this one for the Crimson Tide.
