They come into this game with 11 losses through their first 12 games of the regular season and they will desperately search for their second victory of the year in this road matchup here on Tuesday. They will need to play a perfect game of basketball if they want to get the job done against a nationally ranked and undefeated James Madison team here on Tuesday night on the road. However, with the way they have performed throughout the early part of the regular season, it seems highly unlikely that they will come into their arena and pick up the upset victory over the number 20 team in the country. They come into this game on a four game losing streak, and they will likely lose their fifth consecutive game in a row here in this one on Tuesday night by a wide margin.

It has been an amazing start to the regular season for James Madison as their season opening upset of Michigan State gave them plenty of momentum to carry them throughout their non-conference schedule. They will look to keep the momentum rolling throughout this game on Tuesday night at home as they look for their 11th consecutive victory to open up the regular season and they look to further establish themselves as a top 25 team as well. They come into this game undefeated with 10 consecutive victories to open up the year and they will look to keep the momentum rolling throughout this game as they look to go into conference play unbeaten. They are coming off of a pair of blowout victories on the road and their previous two games and they will be happy to be back in front of their home fans where they looked to grab yet another blowout win in the process. That is exactly what I expect out of James Madison here on Tuesday night as I look for them to pick up the victory and cover the spread in the process.

#22 Virginia @ #23 Memphis – 7pm ET

The Virginia Cavaliers have historically been a dominant program under head coach Tony Bennett, but they have arguably taken a backseat over the last few seasons. They will look for an early season statement victory here on Tuesday night on the road in Memphis, as they look to further establish the fact that they are still one of the top teams in the country. They have arguably been underrated throughout the early part of the regular season as they come into this game with nine victories through their first 10 games of the year, but yet they are ranked 22nd in the nation. Much like the typical Tony Bennett lead Virginia team they have been incredible on the defensive end of the court and they are smothering their opponents and that is something they will look to do throughout this game on Tuesday night as well. Virginia comes into this game with plenty of momentum, and they will look to further extend their winning streak with another quality performance.

The Memphis Tigers are off to a respectable start to the regular season, and they will look to keep the momentum rolling throughout this game on Tuesday night at home. They have an opportunity to grab a huge résumé boosting victory here on Tuesday night against a Virginia team that has arguably been underrated by the AP top 25 throughout the early part of the regular season. Memphis comes into this game with eight victories through their first 10 games of the regular season and they will look to grab their ninth victory of the year at home against a Virginia defense that has been smothering everybody they come across. That is the big mark for Memphis in this game. If their highflying offense can get past the Virginia defense and put points on the board and if they can do that they should come away with a victory here on Tuesday night at home. Regardless of the result in this game, I look for it to go under the total points line as these two quality teams face off.

Troy @ #25 Ole Miss – 7pm ET

Troy has been pretty average throughout their first 10 games of the regular season and they will look for a huge momentum boosting victory here on Tuesday night on the road in Oxford. That would also be a solid résumé building victory for the Troy Trojans as it would give them a win over an undefeated Mississippi team here in this one on the road as well. They could certainly use that momentum boost throughout the remainder of non-conference play and into conference players. They look to establish themselves as a potential contender to win the conference championship this season. They come into this game with five victories through their first 10 games on the season and they will look for their sixth victory of the year here, and this one on Tuesday night in Oxford against Mississippi. They come into this game with a little bit of momentum after picking up a victory and their previous game and they will look for a second consecutive win here on Tuesday night as well.

Mississippi is off to a quality start to the regular season as they come into this game undefeated although they are still ranked at the very last spot in the top 25 rankings. They will further establish themselves as a top 25 team and move up the rankings as they look to continue stringing quality performances together throughout the week. It starts with picking up a victory here on Tuesday night at home against Troy as they look for their 11th consecutive victory to open up the regular season. As they continue to rack up victories throughout nonconference, they will further establish themselves as a potential contender to win the SEC as well and that is the ultimate goal for them this season as they look to put together a quality season and make the NCAA tournament. I look for them to record another quality performance here on Tuesday night at home and pick up a comfortable victory over Troy as well as cover the spread in the process.

#6 Marquette @ Providence – 8:30pm ET

Marquette is off to a fantastic start to the regular season as they come into this game ranked sixth in the country and they will look to grab a huge conference victory here on Tuesday night on the road against Providence. They will look to continue establishing themselves as one of the top teams in the country with another quality performance here in this one, as they get ready to enter into conference play, in one of the deepest conferences in the country this season. It is going to be a grind night in a night out within the Big East conference. This season as there are so many solid teams and habiting the conference this year and it seems like seven or more of them could potentially make an NCAA tournament appearance this year as well. Marquette will likely be one of those teams, unless the wheels absolutely fall off for the Golden Eagles and being battle tested night in and night out, is going to help them go a long way in the tournament. They come into this game with nine victories through their first 11 games of the regular season and they will look for their 10th victory of the year here on Tuesday night in Providence.

The Providence Friars have put together a quiet, quality season throughout the early part of the year. They come into this game with an identical record as Marquette, but they are not ranked in the top 25 because they do not have as many marquee wins, as Marquette does throughout the early part of the year. They will look to change that with a quality performance here at home on Tuesday night as they look to upset one of the top 10 teams in the country at home and get a massive conference victory in the process. They come into this game with plenty of momentum as they are currently on a two game-winning streak, and they will look for a third consecutive win here on Tuesday night against Marquette as a victory in this game would likely propel them into the top 25 next week. However, I don’t see them picking up a victory in this game as I look for Marquette to win a close and competitive match up here on Tuesday night in Providence.
