They have looked solid throughout their first six games of the season, but this will be one of their toughest tests of the year so far and they will be looking to conquer that test with flying colors here on Thursday night against Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton. Liberty’s highflying offense has helped carry them to the 6-0 record throughout their first six games of the regular season and they will be looking to maintain that solid 85 points per game average throughout this game against Florida Atlantic on Thursday night on the road as they look for a seventh consecutive victory to open up the year. Most of their victories this season have come by double digits, and they will be looking to maintain that narrative with another quality performance here on Thursday night against Florida Atlantic. 

Florida Atlantic is off to a fantastic start this season as they look to recapture the magic of last year when they made it all the way to the final four in the NCAA tournament. They come into this game with five victories through their first six games of the regular season and they will be looking to make it six out of seven with a quality performance here on Thursday night at home against Liberty. This is a Florida Atlantic team that has one of the best defenses in the country and they certainly have the potential on the roster to make a Cinderella run back to the final four of the tournament as long as they remain healthy and consistent throughout the year. They are coming off of a blowout victory against Virginia Tech and they will be looking for another solid victory here on Thursday night at home and that is exactly what I expect as I look for Florida Atlantic to pick up the win and cover the spread in the process. As I look for their defense to suffocate Liberty on the defensive end of the floor throughout this game.

Arkansas Pine Bluff @ #25 Oklahoma – 8pm ET

Arkansas Pine Bluff is off to a pretty average start to the regular season and they come into this game heading into Norman looking to upset the Oklahoma Sooners here on Thursday night. They will need to play a near perfect game of basketball here on Thursday night if they want to get the job done and take down the undefeated and nationally ranked Oklahoma Sooners here and this one on the road. They come into this game with four victories through their first eight games of the regular season and they will be looking for their fifth victory of the season here on Thursday night on the road against Oklahoma. It would be a massive momentum boost for this program throughout the early part of the regular season as it would give them a huge résumé building when heading into the beginning of December as well. 

Oklahoma comes into this game looking to remain undefeated on the season and pick up a comfortable victory here on Thursday night at home against Arkansas Pine Bluff. They have been solid throughout the early part of the year, despite being ranked at the back end of the top 25 and another comfortable victory in this game would further establish their case to be one of the top 25 teams in the country this season. They have arguably flown under the radar throughout the early part of the season and they will be looking to put themselves at the forefront of the attention of college basketball this season as they continue to rack up victories throughout the year. Oklahoma comes into this game, looking for their seventh consecutive victory of the season here on Thursday night at home against Arkansas Pine Bluff. Not only do I expect them to pick up the victory in this game, but I look for them to cover the spread in the process here at home on Thursday.

#15 Creighton @ Oklahoma State – 9pm ET

Creighton is a team that comes into this season with plenty of potential and star power on the roster to make a deep run in the NCAA tournament. They come into this game ranked in the middle of the top 25 as they are currently ranked 15th in the country coming into Thursday night’s game on the road in Stillwater against Oklahoma State. They come into this game as winners of five out of their first six games on the regular season and they will be looking for their sixth victory here on Thursday night on the road against a quality power five team. As they look to add they’re already solid résumé throughout the early part of the season. As long as Trey Alexander and Ryan Kalbrenner remain healthy the sky’s the ceiling for this Creighton Blue Jays team, and they will be looking to record another quality performance here on Thursday night on the road against Oklahoma State. 

Oklahoma State comes into this game looking to get a huge résumé boosting victory against the Creighton Blue Jays here on Thursday night at home. It has been a pretty average start of the season for Oklahoma State as they come into this game sitting at the 500 mark through their first six games of the season and they will be looking for their fourth victory of the year here on Thursday night at home against top 15 ranked Creighton. This would be a huge momentum boost for this Oklahoma State program, as well as a massive win on their résumé and non-conference play before they head into conference play in one of the toughest and deepest conferences in the country. They come into this game with a little bit of momentum after picking up two consecutive victories, and their previous two games, and they will be looking for a third straight win here on Thursday night at home. Unfortunately for Oklahoma State I don’t see that happening as I look for Creighton to pick up the victory and cover the spread in the process.

Texas State @ #16 Texas – 9pm ET

Texas State is having an average start of the season and they come into this game on Thursday night looking to upset the Texas Longhorns and get things rolling in the right direction. It would be a huge momentum boosting victory for this Texas State team throughout the early part of the regular season and that is something they desperately need when they head into Austin here on Thursday night. They come into this game one game below the .500 mark through their first seven games of the regular season and they will be looking for their fourth victory of the season here on Thursday night on the road against the Texas Longhorns. A victory in this game for Texas State would give them a massive mark on their résumé throughout the early part of the season as I would give them a victory over one of the top 25 teams in the country heading into the month of December. They will need to play a perfect game of basketball if they want to pull off the upset here in this one in Austin on Thursday night against Texas.

Texas is off to a quality start to the regular season and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here on Thursday night at home against Texas State. They will be looking to pad their record with another comfortable victory over Texas State here on Thursday night as they look to further establish themselves as a top 25 team in the country this season. They will need every victory. They can get throughout nonconference before heading into conference play against teams like Kansas, and Oklahoma, as they are playing in one of the toughest conferences in the country this season. As long as Texas remains healthy and consistent throughout the year, they certainly have the potential to compete for a national championship and a Big 12 conference tournament championship as well. Texas comes into this game having won five out of their first six games of the season, and they will be looking for their sixth victory of the year here on Thursday at home. I expect them to not only pick up the victory in this game, but cover the spread against Texas state in the process.
